✅What strength Retin A is best for your skin type, age or skin concern. How to handle retin a dryness, retin a irritation and retin a redness. This video shares retinoid 101! Along with these questions if you are also wondering whether retin a 0.25% or retin a 0.05% is better for you then listen in on this video for most answers from my own experience of using Retin a 0.05% for the last 7 years.
Its important that retinoids are used with care always. Even at its mild form or lower percentages it can cause sun sensitivity leading a UV damage, birth defects and is not to be used without a doctors advise when pregnant, planning to concieve or breastfeeding. I was prescribed tretinoin 0.025 for the first time around 6 years ago for acne. Everytime I get acne, and go to the dermatologist she asks me to continue it again. I'm 20 now. I feel I should stop using it for the time being whenever my skin is cleared up cause tretintoin shouldn't be a regular cream for a 14 year old till all their lifetime. I think for the next few years, I'll switch to minimalist retinol serum or stop retinol completely and focus on hydration

I watch all your videos, i found your videos very helpful . Thank you so much for creating such knowledegable content. I was using 0.025 tretinoin cream every night for a month now but after that i switch to 0.025 gel form and used it with sandwich method for the first whole night. In the morning i wash my face and suddenly it started giving me tingling sensation in whole face i buff with emolene cream and then next with vaseline. But i am confused what to use further cream or gel? And when will this tingling sensation stop and how to tackle it. Hope to get answer from you soon😊

Hi I'm glad I finally found someone that's more informed in this than I I have recently purchased tretinoin cream 0.05 which is what I usually get from my local pharmacy but when it came to me it was spelled differently spelled retino a. I tried to search online and the only thing that come looking like the one I got comes from Indian pharmacy and since I've never tried any of those I hope you can vouch for this do you know if there's a difference between those two are regular USA tretinoin vs retino a tretinoin. Introduce retin a at every alternate day or even every third day... Start with after using it after ur moisturizer... That is put ur moisturizer wait for 20 mins and then just use your retinoids... Then slowly reduce to every alternate day and then every day... However every cycle should atleast be of min 60 days to 90 days... Keep in mind to avoid vitamin c or ahas bhas for atleast first 90 days... Then slowly introduce vitamin c not more than 10 percent.. And then on next cycle u might increase... Also for moisturizer i would suggest cera ve... And do not introduce anything else... Just cleanser moisturizer retin a and sunscreen... Do not burn ur skin... And use tons of moisturizer... No physical or chemical exfoliants... Just sush them

Both of these are retinoids. Adaplene is recommended as it is gentler and it comes in combination with BP specifically to handle acne.

Snail mucin essence is mild, it won't moisturize enough to combat the dryness caused by Retin A. Use a rich moisturizer instead.

On alternate days you can if your skin is not too dry or sensitive. If it is then wait till that passes. It really depends on how your skin is reacting. Vitc def helps in with the UV damage that can be caused due to skin becoming more sensitive to uv radition. Basically follow the rule of listening to your skin...if its calm you can be adventurous...if its irritated you better be calm with it! :) Once its settled down with the retinization process you can slowly introduce all these back.

Mam i saw your be minimalist layering video for acne hyperpigmentation there you have told to use rentinol too so when to use it in am routine vit c nia and Aa and in pm routine along with these multipep and squalene but when to use retinol can we use it after all these serum or not or can we put all serum and retinol too in our daily skincare routine.

My mom is 47 right now, she uses the minimalist toner with their 5%niacinamide serum in the PM routine & vitamin c and Alfa arbutin serum in the day & once in a week she uses the lactic acid serum. Please help me knowing how shall she start using the tretinoin & if she uses it then does she need any other exfoliant?

I am 29. I am currently using my first bottle of minimalist 2% retinoid. I have fine line on forehead and have smile lines also. I really want them to go. Should i keep using retinoid 2% from minimalist or should i introduce retin a ? Or i should try minimalist new retinoid 0.03% or some other. I have combination skin. I do not have any pigmentation. Thank you so much for this video. I'm Bengali and I really appreciate you mentioning Boroline, which honestly is a lifesaver. Well I'm 26½ years old, have combination skin and no acne problems or pigmentation, and I'm facing a dilemma. I will start using the Minimalist Granactive 2% Retinoid Cream, and after I use it up, I want to avoid using the Minimalist Retinol Serum because it solidifies and can be a waste of money. So, is it a good idea for me to skip Retinol serums altogether and skip to Retin A right now? Or must I wait till my late 30s to use Retin A? So basically, I wanted to know: 1) What is the correct/safe age to begin Retin A? 2) Once I start using Retin A, can I just keep using it into old age?

Thank you for sharing a well structured questions :) Retin A is great addition when the collagen starts dropping which starts becoming fairly apparent by early thirties. Before that retin a usage is not. "necessary" but can be desirable. You see once you start using Retin A Sun exposure becomes an issue that you need to plan your day around. While it definitely strengthens the skin it also does make it more prone easily prone to being affected by UV. So more than age I would say lifestyle would be a better predictor for starting its use. Or begin with Adapalene! its got much lower downtime and is much more gentler. 2- YUSSSSS you can :) the best part of it. Hope that helps. PS; do consider chatting up with a derm for retin a as well.

Hi shalaka, all retinoids help fade scars. Acne pits become less indented with time if you regularly use retinoids. Give it a few years though...patience is key . I would recommend retin a over retinoid from minimalist for the acne pits.
