I just bought the Etch Armor etching cream to etch some baking dishes for Christmas gifts. Watching this video gave me extra confidence to get started. You made it look so easy. I love these Design Bundles videos! I have been a customer of Design Bundles for about 2 years now and love all the designs and fonts they have. They have wonderful customer service. Now they are on RU-vid with amazing & educational tutorials and awesome instructors. Thank you Design Bundles! ❤❤❤
Great video! I'm commenting real quick before work & I apologise if I'm repeating a previously stated comment (no time to double check right now) but just fyi- With a design like that, where the original is wider than it is tall, and over the limit of your cutting capabilities, just rotate your design 90°. That way you can go much wider, as long as your height isn't more than your limit. Hope that helps!
😱😱😱 you can't even tell the difference! I purchased the etching cream, so I need to make something. Thank you this tutorial. I may try out the etch vinyl, too. 🤩
Michael is an absolutely amazing teacher/coach! I enjoy his tutorials and I learn so much! He is soooo easy to follow. Thank you so much for your time and teachings, you're a huge help to beginning Cricuteers like me!
Facing the transfer tape is a PRICELESS TIP! My reason is, for whatever reason (humidity, heat, cold) my transfer tape has a STATIC to it and I am noticing if I do it face first, it is pulling up the image real fast without giving me a chance to line it up. So, for that reason, I am going to do this from now on, ty so much. GREAT TIP!!
Both were gorgeous. I use etching cream the most because I usually want a permanent design. Etched vinyl is a great alternative though if you want a temporary fix.
Awesome! We can make glass etching stencils too! It keeps getting better all the time. Thank you Michael for making these amazing videos! I learn so much from you 😃
They both look the same, but I prefer the etching cream, because it is permanent. There's so much you could do with that! And, I can't wait to get started doing it! Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention and teaching it to me! I am very appreciative! Now I just want that cricket maker! Lol
This etching vinyl is a total game changer and both looks look so close can hardly tell a difference. Especially if you have kids around you don't want them getting into that cream.
I didn't know how very similar these two looks are, I've used the Amor Etch, but never the vinyl. Love them both. Love how your mirrors came out. Hugs, Brenda
Michael was amazing as usual. He teaches so effortlessly. I am so blessed to have seen his video. I learn something new every time. Thank you Mr. Crafty for all you do!
Hello thank you I just bought some glasses I wanted to etch .you saved me so much time. thank you for taking the time out of your day to post the links ! You Rock !
Hi Michael - Great video. I just got my Cricut Air (I won it here on RU-vid - lucky me) and now after a few days of working with it I actually understand everything you did today. You are a natural teacher with a relaxed and informative manner. I've been reading Facebook and I now see why so many Cricuteers (I made that word up - like Mousekateers - Tee Hee ) recommend you. I really appreciate everything you do to enhance our cricut fun. Thanks for sharing and continued success. Love PegEgg
Michael...I wish I had known about you long time ago because the way you explain how to do these crafts, you makes it soooo easy. I appreciate you...thank you!!
I agree wholeheartedly! It opens up so many doors where you don’t want to make a permanent commitment. I could even see this used on clear plastic to give it the illusion of glass.
With the vinyl you can see it’s reflection, so I prefer the cream, because the lines look cleaner. But if you want to be able to change out the design of course the vinyl makes sense.
I love your videos!! I don't have my machine yet (it will be delivered tomorrow) but I have been watching your videos for over a week and im so excited.
I did learn something! I didn't even know stencil film vinyl, for stenciling or etching, even existed! That is too cool! Thank you for sharing Michael. :) for now, I would have to use the cream. Maybe eventually I can try that awesome vinyl! Stay safe and well and thank you again. You guys have a great day! :)
Absolutely brilliant thanks so much. I have the glass etching cream and have ordered both stencil vinyl and the etched vinyl to try on some small table mirrors to hold candles. We will see ah?
Loved this since I don’t have armoire etch today I will use the vinyl one first. Thank you for sharing and enriching our skill with Cricut projects. Mr . Crafty Pants you make this all look so seem less. Thank you for these tutorials they help make crafting fun.
I guess it depends on the cost of each method and if its a significant difference 🤔 both ways seems doable. Im trying out the cream so thanks for you videos and tutorials, very helpful ☺. Also, I wanted to tell you love your manicure 😘
