This video encouraged me so much and I've been thinking about it for a few days now. My teenage dream was to be a professional writer. At 18, I married my boyfriend and went on to have nine children in 13 years. Being a stay at home mom became my unexpected full time job. I'm now 44 and so far I have worked as a journalist, newspaper editor, professional blogger, social media influencer, homeschool mom (currently in year 21), preschool/K teacher, high school literature and writing instructor, RU-vid blogger/vlogger (10 years in, so far), and have published books and countless magazine articles. All that to say, I'm glad I kept writing. Through every stage of my life, thus far, and through every high and low time, I had this one thing that was just mine --- my writing. Now that my kids are getting older and my free time is increasing, I have so many goals that concern writing. It's been my constant companion; and even though it's not what I thought it was going to be back in my teenage years, I am in awe at how much I've been able to write professionally so far. Be encouraged, friend! Even if it's not your full time job, it will never leave you! Thanks for sharing your heart here. New subscriber!

I stopped writing since three years to now due to many health issues and stress working long hours, that was make me so frustrated, lost, sad. This year I am focusing to manage my full time mom, worker, and many functions haha, I am struggling indeed but I will come back 🔜
I am starting the artists way soon and I'm really excited to dive into it! I'm so excited to see how your content evolves. keep doing what you love doing
Writing is probably the one thing that gives me the most pleasure. I started it back up again last year after quite a break and writing something new and something that turns out being well written excites me and brings me to a passionate state that I wasn't sure I'd ever get back, with any of my hobbies. I've just been writing short stories for fun and having fun with it. I'm glad you're writing!

I've also been trying to encourage myself to write again...I think it is sometimes really hard to get the motivation when you are reading more, creating content, being busy with others things and writing falls on the back burner. But I'll definitely subscribe and maybe write with you while you write your pages

My reason that i am struggling that i live in a city and my soul yearns to escape to rural but my financial gets me away from fulfiling this dream, i will do it some day and bought a cottage in the English country side, i am working so hard to live the rest of my life in UK.
I've always been a story writer primarily, but recently as I've been trying to get back into writing I've been doing a lot more stream of consciousness like these morning pages that tends to be about my surroundings or whatever's going on in my life. Just gotta get some words on the page 😅 I definitely hope to get back to stories soon though!
In the UK at least, no! English lit is much more about analysing literature and writing essays, and creative writing is more about writing practice itself, be that stories or poetry or screenwriting etc. 😊
