As a person who was trained in multiple leading inner healing ministries across the world, I can attest that this message is true. I was never free in all my years of inner healing ministry. During Covid, I had weekly inner healing sessions and I would still wake up the next day depressed. I listened to one message on the truth from Dan in October 2020 and I was so offended. The next day, I was completely set free as I repented for not believing the truth. Years of anxiety and depression completely gone. I don’t have bad days any more. This message has completely transformed my life.
Ill bet people who you share this truth to that are involved in inner healing get really pissed off and offended by you or the exact same thing happens to them.. FREEDOM! It’s all just psychosomatic.
I’m a deliverance /Healing minister. I was Pentecostal and bound by religion then After I got deliverance my life was radically changed. I had demons cast out of me and a little bit of healing. But I had a long process of healing over 2 years I’ve been healing. But here lately I’ve been listening to Dan and my perspective has changed and I’ve received more truth of the gospel and the fullness of it. I’ve diminished religious perspectives so much even more than what I ever realized was even religion. I do feel like my approach will be different while ministering. My prayer time has changed I use to beg and plead and war and now I feel so secure. I wish there was a way to have a discussion with Dan to ask a few questions so I could perceive better. But I will say my life has been changed for the better with deliverance and healing ministry. I’ve been changing my viewpoints on it more and more because I’ve been seeing more and more of the fullness of the Gospel and the FINISHED work. I do think some people still need to have the truth revealed to them and that might be more one on one sessions. It’s all about breaking off the lies and revealing the truth.
My inner healing and deliverance experience was simply a pastor teaching me on spiritual truths and I recall that demon strongholds would leave me the moment the Holy Spirit revealed the truth to me. It instantly exposed the lie and thereby destroyed the ground a demon would use to keep me in bondage. The demons left without any fanfare other than sometimes leaving a faint foul smell behind. That's why the Bible states that the truth shall set you free; not prayer or rebuking or saying on of hands. The latter may temporarily drive out a demon, but truth keeps him out. So, a deliverance ministry is a teaching ministry.
True inner healing ministry is in fact what Dan is saying. We ask Holy Spirit to reveal the lie being believed and then we ask Holy Spirit for the truth. The revelation of that truth makes you free.
I have had therapists take me down a path known as internal family systems. To deal with these parts. And I thought before, “did the heroes of faith need internal healing in their journey?” And I think the answer is well presented in this discussion with Dan. I think when you have someone going through it, our best response is to be compassionate but point them to Christ. To faith. To identity. Well said Dan. Thx for this.
To be honest, I think the rebuke is dependent on the heart of the person. For example, look how tenderly Dan dealt with that Veteran. He could have rebuked the familiar spirit but instead he was tender with him and his past. I think the rebuke should be directed toward people who are profiting off manipulating people in this area without offering true healing.
Wow, this is so powerful and so simple. I am so grateful to have heard this message. Now in all fairness, I have tried to believe truth in order to be completely free. I have found that for certain lies though, it has taken time for me to understand and see truth in order to be totally set free. Jesus said in John 8:31-32, that if we hold to his teaching, then we are his disciples. Then we would know the truth and the truth would set us free. In my case, I have had to hang onto some truths longer than others, before the freedom set in. Some lies just stick around longer. In other words, hang onto His word, and you will eventually be free if not sooner. Holy Spirit is ALWAYS faithful and will help remind you of truth. Trust the Lord's timing.
I have been watching to Torben (TLR) videos and was really surprised when I saw people completely set free by saying, 'Freedom' and standing on the belief that they are free -- and so I had started saying this scripture over myself, 'He who the son sets free is free indeed'. I know God put this in front of me to drive this home. Jesus has done it, it IS the Finished work. I thought my background was too complex spiritually but now I know there are no exceptions, 'Who the Son has set free, IS free indeed'. Thank you for this, such an important message for me to hear.
In the church I pastor inner healing is only part of our ministry. The manipulation I have seen is horrible. Truth sets free. The Gosple truth that is. Thank you for this truth. This is powerful teaching. Clean and clear.
My mother approached me a couple of months ago with inner healing. I sat down and we talked. I said much of what Dan is saying. I even brought up what Peter says of our faith and the salvation of our souls. She said her concern is the pain and issues I have been through due to my father and her projecting their pain on me as a child. She doesn’t want my children to go through the same thing because I haven’t dealt with it. I responded that I don’t need to deal with it because Christ did at the cross and now my aim is to be a reflection of him being transformed into his very image. She became agitated and told me I needed to revisit the times where pain occurred and invite Jesus into those moments. All I said was “Mom, this is what the word says and I’m going to stand on it. I’m a new creation in Him the old has passed away. If the Lord reveals more of me that needs to die… I know this, He takes us from faith to faith and I can continue have faith that he has delivered me out of the power of darkness and translated me into the kingdom of the son of his love!” What a blessing to hear Dan speak on these things.
Question here: so if you reflect back on painful events, you are saying that you feel zero inner discomfort? There is no past event that brings you some inner pain? And, if there is pain, what then? How to handle? I'm not an inner healing follower and not debating, I just want to understand all this better😊
@@TheFiestyhick correct, I don’t have any discomfort when thinking on the happenings of my childhood. I do think of all that has been forgiven of me and apply that same grace to anyone who may have caused any pain. Now, the enemy will try to bring up past events and muddy my thoughts, but this is where I make a point to activate my faith and walk according to what scripture says, taking every thought captive and making it obedient to Christ. I get the little thought once in a while that I am justified in my ill thoughts because of X,Y,Z, but that is not in agreement with the Word, therefore the mind must be renewed and return to the goodness of the gospel… that is that I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I that live. It is a constant battle but I know my war is not against flesh and blood. My life must be hid in Christ daily, because if not then I will resurrect the old man. If any pain resurfaces, I reject it and surrender it to the cross. There has been a lot of learning and growing through this but that is what Paul calls maturity. We must exercise our faith like a muscle in order for it to become strong. First learning to crawl in these things so that in the end we may run the race to completion.
It sounds like you have a sweet and loving mom who wants the best for you. I'm glad you found this teaching of Dan's, it's one of my favorites and one I share. I love how you have embraced the new creation He has made you to be, but are just as ready to address issues that the Lord may reveal in you that still need to die. This is the process as our walk grows deeper and more intimate.
Interesting thing here is i used to oversee a inner healing ministry and i used more of the principles that dan is talking about using then what he reports finding in his 5 year study. I will say tho, you can discern a spirit of rejection on someone from their childhood without giving power it. It still must be discerned. Its not about going into the past, ita about discerning what is broken, why, and what jesus says about it. He is always the answer, and i agree sometimes these ministies get caught up in the muck but many are doing this in a similar manner to how Christ met with people individually. Dont throw the baby out with the bath water. Yes we need to understand the finished work for ourselves, but jesus didnt just preach to people. He met with them and spoke words of healing that changed their lives. James tells us that sometimes you have to confess to another and then pray to in order to be healed
Amen!! Yes! We are Love of the Father , repentance and forgiveness focussed in our ministry sessions with those who feel stuck and traumatized by events in their life. Holy Spirit is faithful to illuminate the deceptions so people can let them go and embrace Yeshua’s Truth and the Grace the Lord gives for them to embrace the Truth is amazing.
Interesting comment. Yeah, there must be some balance. It sounds good to say, "we are made new creations, the past is now dead", but I'm not fully convinced that people with INTENSE trauma are truly set free. There are tons of screwed up Christians that say stuff like " I'm a new Creation" lol....Somehow, I think what works best is knowing a little of the inner healing stuff, working fast then teaching them mind renewal, to keep casting out the false lies. As long as inner healing doesn't drag out into a wacky doctrine, it probably has a place. I say all this humbly. I'm still learning and maybe I'm wrong
I recently found out about inner healing and I asked God where it was in scripture and although much of what is found in inner healing ministry isn't, the Holy Spirit pointed me to the book of James. It is truly a battle of faith and obedience to the word
Maybe some versions of what people call inner healing aren't in the Bible but what we teach at are church is 100 percent Bible based. The ministry of Jesus was to bind up the broken hearted(heal them inside) and free the captives(deliverance). The book of John to me is full of illustrations of how close contact with Jesus speaking by love through the Holy Spirit brings healing. When I teach inner healing, I model a session after the woman at the wells encounter with jesus
Also keep in mind James said "confess your faults one to another, pray and you will be healed" paraphrase. Thats inner healing. Many times someone just needs another person to open up to and be humble enough to be prayed for. Yes most healing takes place on our walk with Him alone, but some healing requires other people. That's what that scripture points to and that's what inner healing is when done correctly
I used to be such a bold believer in what Dan Mohler is saying about Sozo… he visited my church 12 years ago, and several times since (and Todd countless times). I Don't believe it anymore lol. I shared that HCSKL ep 12 with people that discusses this topic at length, including my pastor, given we have considerable inner healing/sozo ministry we’re associated with. I since needed inner healing strait up - many times, you don’t see your blind spot. I was so arrogantly opposed to inner healing at first, believingly following the wisdom of Todd and Dan. It turns out all the talking from a pulpit in the world, doesn’t do the same thing as discipleship. In the American fast-food ministry context, Sozo cessions are the only thing approaching discipleship from an anointed / spiritually gifted person, with the yet-matured laity under many lies that just aren’t being dispelled by great teaching or bible study. Like it or not, Jesus himself said only 25% of soil will bear fruit. Are we gonna till the soil, or let the seeds die in the 75% “bad soil” we’re surrounded by in churches today because we’re too proud to say that saying the perfect things from the pulpit doesn’t always cut it? I watched myself and others lean so strongly into the “identity” message of Dan (a good thing to be clear), but hypnotized by the charisma, then not receiving the whole council of God (which includes other giftings than Dan has), and end up not bearing much fruit from Dan’s message. Is Dan wrong then because we didn’t bear much fruit from it? No more or less than some great Sozo ministries out there - which is to say I actually don’t blame anyone. There are many tools and giftings that God uses all over the place. There are 2.5 billion Christians in the church. That’s 2.5 billion solutions to a problem in Kingdom Math. Dan and Todd’s sincerity, charisma, zeal, combined with the gifts, are very attractive, and that can be more compelling than it ought to. Keep preaching bold from the pulpit, but don’t fool yourself that that equals the discipling of the nations as we’re commanded. I have to ask: if my gifting was not bearing fruit in a certain context with certain people, would I have the humility to ask the Spirit if He can work outside my box, or would I just use my gifting harder and louder? PS, I know there are as many bad experiences with Sozo as there are with discipling from the pulpit. I in no way defend all the ministries out there. I would however, suggest reading Dawna de Silva from Bethel, and Ray Sturdivant’s book, “Beating the devil with his own Stick.” I find that the leading voices (like the person who actually Started the Sozo, and not subsequent copycats), actually don’t really have disagreements with Dan, because he’s actually attacking a strawman in many cases.
Josiah, Thank you for sharing your experience. What is HCSKL? What is Todd's last name? Do you no longer recommend what is being taught here? Do you recommend any other preacher or ministry? Do you know of any preachers dealing with freemasonry? (There are a few who are not connected with Bethel.) I used to follow Bethel when they first introduced SOZO. But I wanted to go deeper into deliverance and less about I.H. So I studied Derek Prince and an Australian deliverance ministry instead. (Bethel was respected, but after a decade, it seemed too jokey and casual for my preferred serious approach to deliverance. It seemed many serious issues people suffered with were given superficial treatment.)
@@Charity-vm4bt Hey Charity. HCSKL is Dan's Church. I still love it and his teaching. I wish he would address his concerns as "excesses" without painting with a broad brush. Todd White is a minister who was led to Christ by Dan, and has a big ministry called "lifestyle Christianity", of which I'm also a fan! One critique I love of Dan's, toward inner healing/deliverance excesses, is that part of freedom comes from the faith that you are indeed, free! Ironically all the believing in what he was saying in the world, didn't yield the same as when I had some ministry time with a Sozo minister who helped me see where I was missing this faith. With that, I think freemasonry, or any other demonic oppression, is adequately dealt with with any personal forgiveness and renouncing -- an elder or "minister" or friend can lead you thru such prayers if needed -- but that's no requirement. Many inner healing/deliverance advocates are unfortunately making it bigger than it ought, by not cultivating the daily faith part. If you haven't read Kris Vallotton's and Dawna DeSliva's books on spritual warfare, I don't think you've given Bethel teaching it's due -- I strongly encourage reading them if you haven't! I've found that "deeper" deliverance, is usually just going backwards. Sometimes I've seen very fragile people who were deliverance ministers for years (read the pinned comment in this comments section for an example) -- studying names/assignments/strongholds/strategies of every demon and principality. They practice maintenance instead of overthrow -- which is God's calling for all of us, and overthrow can only be done with FAITH!
Deliverance and healing does not have to take hours or multiple sessions unless you have a financial interest hourly rate. Prayed for a Vietnam veteran who carried full body pain since the war ended. I asked him who was his anger toward: the military or the US government? He teared up and replied: Neither, it was the American people. We prayed with him and led him through repentance, forgiveness, and release. Then we told him to get up and walk around the room. When he come back, he was smiling through the tears and proclaiming that all the pain was gone. Simple. All glory to God.
For me, it took multiple sessions because the demons revealed themselves incrementally. I wish it weren’t so because it was a painful process for me. But Ihad many demons cast out of me and not just one or two.
Thank you Father for this message! He truly loves us and leads us to Him and what we need. I needed this message. Holy Father please bless us to have faith and believe and live from that place and not in the past. Let those memories not have power over us. What I learned over the years from my healing journey is to not oversimplify things and think God is going to heal me in only one way, that is, by faith alone, confessing the word alone, laying on of hands etc... I've studied the bible for many years, went to bible college and did my best to claim the promises of God and still could not let going of all the negative thinking in my mind. It always came back and to just accept it and try each time to see it through Christ is not good enough (especially when there is a war going on within). That is until I learned about inner healing. I am finally able to let go, by the grace of God, what I couldn't for years. This is what worked for me and if others experienced it differently then praise God. But I think the common element is depending on the Holy Spirit that is key and in the way that He ultimately chooses to do it. I think we could at least agree on that.
SO good! It is my choice to be Spirit led or feelings driven; it is by choice that I submit (ALL THINGS, thoughts, feeling etc) to God, and in doing so, I have resisted the devil and he will flee, and in submitting to God I have drawn near to Him and He will draw near to me!

I woke up feeling kinda numb emotionally and just blah, but listening to Dan Mohler and really getting what he is saying completely transformed my mood. I feel transformed in just an hour of listening, the Lord keeps drawing me back to Dan Mohler and the power of right believing. I was wondering why I was feeling down and uninterested in general and the Lord's showing me the power of Truth and seeing correctly. I feel a surge of joy and boldness!

I had a dream where the Lord explained hooks to me… and it’s not what the inner healing minsters were saying. The hooks were places in the mind that were not renewed and therefore easily “hooked” by the enemy. The hook was removed through mind renewal of sonship identity. Once the mind was renewed, there was no place for the enemy to land anymore. The interesting thing was that in the dream the place was being “hooked” by an “invisible” cord held by a witch. I tried to break the witchcraft (represented by the cord) but it was ineffective because THE HOOK WAS STILL IN PLACE. After I dug the hook out of my mind, she lost her access.
I absolutely love Dan! In my early walk, he helped me so much in learning who we are in Christ! It’s interesting though… what he describes processing with the man who had flashbacks from war is exactly what “inner healing” has been, in my experience. Taking lies captive and replacing them with the truth so that experiences, and the lies people believe based on experience, no longer speak louder than truth. It’s simply discipleship in setting our eyes on Jesus no matter what! If anyone comes out feeling like their past now explains their present, the entire point was missed.
How do I walk in this! I had been. I know who God says I am. Can you let to many lay hands on you that cause things to change. They are Godly people but I'm believing we can be healed without hands laid on us. Holy Spirit heals people just while people listen to a sermon.
Dan is a hero in my faith. My question that I wish he could answer is this. If believing the truth is the only thing it took to be free, then why did Jesus cast demons out every time he preached and did ministry. Why didn’t he just teach the truth so people can be free of demons? Why did he call them by name and rebuke them or cast them out of people?
I have ministered in truth deliverance and in casting out deliverance and the main thing is Holy Spirit leading AND truth of God’s Word. They should work together. Even if you cast out a demon with authority, that place has got to be filled with the truth of God for the person to stay free. It’s called discipleship. Holy Spirit is doing the work also. He brings truth and He delivers. It’s a beautiful partnership! Hope this makes sense.

Every now and then. I get a more where people just call him a heretic. I have found that since I started posting daily, the amount of videos criticising Dan has dropped.
I would love to hear his thoughts on emotions and if he believes it’s necessary to process emotions. When someone experiences sadness how one should relate to it? God created emotions so they are useful for the human experience. There’s a place for emotions. I agree with what he says about not changing and trying to “fix” how someone feels verses getting to the root of the problem.
16:45 most inner healing is ministering to peoples emotional lives, trying to get them to FEEL better… don’t worry about the memory going away, get to the place where you don’t believe the memory anymore based on the cross
Having the truth revealed is one way demons leave. Jesus was the truth and he literally cast out demons . Sometimes the manifestations are violent with christians generally that is not the case.

I love Dan he has changed my life and once I found God for myself God led me to soup wound healing. He explained we all had soul wounds and between God and me God took one session with a Him and showed me where it came from and sliced me with His light and it was done God isnt limited and can heal anyway He wants. Finished works have been around for a long time since the apostle Paul lol and first heard it 15 years ago by a man born in 1903 and had the revelation of the finished works by 1938. So i was heavily involved in the ministry of deliverance for a while.. i did see people get free and their lives change dramatically.. however i myself have suffered from on going debilitating stomach issues for about 4 yrs now. All while casting demons out of people and seeing people get free.. i left that ministry for many reasons. It actually contributed to the anxiety i was having. You become very legalistic in that ministry. This video is helping me so much.. these day my whole focus is who i am in Christ.. this video is showing me that im still believing some lies from the ministry of deliverance.. i am Currently a student at Charis bible College and their whole focus is identity.. the lies the lord is uprooting has been changing..n

There is no umbrella answer for anyone other than to seek God. With all your heart. Dontseek Man. That’s what I see more than anything- people seeking people. Everyone is different.
Pastor Dan this is very refreshing! Very enlightening! It all makes sense, and it’s all backed by the word of God! My pastor preaches this, however the way you have broken this down and understanding it better. I am reading your declaration on the back as well as, your sermon on faith, which is exactly what I need to be reading right now it’s so simple if we just wouldn’t put our two cents in it! It's a fight of Faith, and it's not easy to change every mindset in record time to validate the preacher or God. It happens slowly almost for every singel human, and if you fail it's justified so as to not tarnish the testimony and the ministry.
