Not gonna lie, these two have a surprisingly complex relationship. Lots of it is built in tropes and stuff but the idea that the mage is secretly a much more powerful magus who is trying to avoid tapping into their chaotically destructive abilities and chooses a pacifist life despite life forcing them otherwise. The knight's reasoning for leaving in the first place seems like it fits perfectly with her character. The balance between the knight feeling insecure and weak for being unable to handle magical threats that the mage is much better equipped for. The mage understanding the knight's impetuous bravery is sometimes more dangerous than it is helpful and the fact that they are keenly aware that one reason they're in this mess was because of the hot headed knight who both made early enemies with Myrtle (rather than simply paying her back) and who carried the vendetta in for years when Myrtle herself had entirely forgotten. The mage is also presumably keenly aware that their pacifist tendencies are the reason Myrtle and the necromancer are still alive. The mage easily defeats them both but because he spared the necromancer for the third time when he could have killed her he walked away and yet again it bit him. The two really exemplify the difference between strength and power and the relationship between magical and physical weapons in the setting. The mage is incredibly powerful and destructive but that doesn't make him stronger than the knight. The mage sees power as dangerous and feels like an unstable powder keg and their studying and training is all so that they can keep it simmered down. The knight sees strength as a virtue and is so focused on gathering it that they are entirely unable to see that they're both on the same path with different end points. One wants to gather more power and strength to better help people and the other wants to better understand their own existing power to prevent it from hurting others and use it to help when they can. I think the use of dramatic irony is what really stands out in the writing. The mage keeps a lot of secrets and there are things that the two classically trained magic users are aware of that Myrtle (the natural and untrained mage) and the knight don't understand. Even now the necromancer has known at this point since halfway through season 1 that the mage is a magus but the only other person besides the mage who knows is myrtle who doesn't know enough to know why that's special.

I'm kind of hoping that if this series does have an official end, perhaps it could either be the two possibly renewing their vows while the knight is pregnant with their child or when the two are old and telling stories to their grandchildren.

i hope there's more to this, especially if it leads to them eventually having kids

It seems like the END this time but...please... Please i beg you continue this history or something similar to this because thats was THE BEST serie i have evere watched

This has been my favorite series since the very beginning. Each time a new episode comes out it makes me very happy.

So, yes, obviously this fight goes to the Mage. Raw, unstoppable protagonist power awoken by love, and all that. But as strong as he was in the moment, it's going to require a different kind of strength in the days, months, probably years to come. A strength that comes only in the dead of night, when he wakes up in tears, shaking from yet another night terror of this day Necromancer's brief and utterly violating control over his body, mind, and life. A strength only his wife, Audrey, can provide.
