Crystal grove is one of my favorite spots, so many wonderful specimens on matrix to be found. Both pits are unique. Thanks for posting,super nice finds man!!! it reminded me to get back out there and dig some more.

Back in the latter 1990's & 2010, I hunted Herkimer's @ Crystal Grove. Found some & also took a 5-gallon bucket of sub-soil/sand home. Sifted the sa d mix thru a couple of very fine meshed screens, window screen size to start& 2 finer ones, too. Lots of small crystals, including micros. Occasionally have found other things in the mix, too.

Gorgous! I had a storebought Herkimer pendant years ago but sadly it was stolen😕hunting vicariously thru you lol
