I wonder if the door switch is having trouble. What symptoms do you have?

@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel thank you for asking. Bingo! In fact when I installed this used (new to me) dishwasher. The door wasn't locking/very difficult to close it. I repositioned the latch and tightened it to get it to close. It has run about a month until salt ran out. I have softwater and thought to adjust programming to reflect that...and now it won't run. Nor go into diagnostic/programming mode. I did review tech manual you referenced for sequence of steps. Though nodda! Do I need to to fiddle with latch to engage the programming?

I bet the dishwasher doesn’t know the door is closed. You might try calling Miele USA to have them send you a new door latch👍

@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel im going to purchase salt today 🤞. Unclear if its a latch assembly or a latch sensor that is problematic. Will no salt in reservoir halt all cycles including rinse? Or am I having 2 issues simultaneously? Thanks for your consideration.

@@FastFreeFixes Miele has not been helpful. The screws on the latch were loose. I tightened them which seemed to resolve that problem. but maybe not. Salt did not get machine working. I will attempt to access control board and look for corrosion , dust, and discoloration and clean the contact points. 🤞

I wonder if you need a new heater relay? You can call Miele USA and ask them which heating component broke to give you a F04.

Went completely through the diagnostic as you showed in the video but instead of getting number for lite-up I got number three lighting up
