Yes, I was looking for the option to balance it out with the same edge as the starting row, or the option to continue with a regular stitch afterwards. 🙂
That's a beautiful stitch that I haven't seen before! Thank you!! I was wondering why you go first go over, then under to catch the yarn when making a crochet stitch.
Is that the typical length you leave the beginning tail? That has to be difficult to weave in that small amount or do you have a better technique? Thank you.
They make crochet hooks for those with dexterity issues. The handle is larger so you don’t get pain in your hands and the hook is still the smaller size to duplicate this stitch. I can’t help with your eyes though. I’m experiencing the same issues as you. So, your definitely not alone.
Chain in multiples of 2 Skip 3 and double crochet entire foundation chain Chain 4, turn work, skip 2 stitches and double crochet Pull up a loop around the double crochet, yarn over and pull through one loop. Repeat 5 times so you have 6 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through all 6 loops. Skip 2 and double crochet. Repeat until the end of your row. Next row, do the same as the last row, but make your double crochets in the spaces between your previous stitches. Not sure if I explained it well, I’ve never written out proper instructions for anyone but myself, but I hope it helps 😊
I don't know if there's a specific name but I've seen how it would be called out. This would be "sc5-tog" meaning "5 single crochets finished together" You might be able to find patterns that use that abbreviation and therefore use the stitch.
For rounds I think it would mostly depend on how you start the base chain as the stitch is just 5 sc finished together over a dc. Would probably work fine in either a spiral or joined rounds.
The pattern repeats over 2 stitches, so start with a number divisible by 2. In other words, start with an even number of stitches. If it is n+n+n+...+n, then the pattern repeats every n stitches, so work in sets of n.
If you are unsure how many stitches you need, start with a few extra. Once you achieve the desired length, you can end the next row a few stitches early. The unused chains may be removed or simply weaved in as part of the tail afterwards. Relax. No need for all caps.
You should include how the stitch looks worked up in a square at least. Also you should not use thin yarn and a small hook. It’s easier to follow if you used worsted weight yarn and a larger hook.
Are Japanese instructions the same as American, as I only do British basic instructions...??? Most patterns seems to be American, so when trying these instructions, I get things wrong,. It is very annoying, although some of the American patterns are so beautiful..... if patterns do not state their country 's basics....I will not buy or try.....😮😮😮😊
The instructions are written across the top of the screen..its a combination of 2+2 so chain up in multiples of 2 then add 2..work all dc on foundation then ch4 turn sk2 dc,5dc cluster,sk2,5dc cluster and you just keep repeating that (please forgive me if i typed incorrectly)
