Ma'am, Is it possible to find a job in IT without having a computer science degree.I am learning css from the RU-vid tutorials, but at the same time I am confused, that whether or not it will be successful. And I am sorry to contact you in this random way.
For your next mechanical keyboard try the Keychron K3, it's low profile and not as bulky as most other ones are, also since it's hot-swappable you should get a set of red, brown, and blue switches to see which ones you like the most. Red is linear and will be most similar to a regular keyboard, blue is tactile and makes a clicky sound(My favorite when I'm typing a lot) and brown is a mix of both of them(tactile but no sound)
If you‘re annoyed by switching your keyboard between your laptops, i can recommend you the Logitech MX Keys Mini. You can easily switch between 3 devices with a button on the keyboard and it‘s also low profile and compact like the apple keyboard :)
So I want to be a SOFTWARE ENGINEER and MARSELA is my biggest inspiration. i found her channel like 7 months ago and I am absolutely loving it. Whenever I am demotivated i just go through her videos and they reminds me of my goal. It has been really helpful and now i am more dedicated towards my studies because of her. THIS DESK SETUP HAS MY HEART
Hey Marsela - just want to tell you that i really enjoy watching your videos and thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences. I myself is an engineer too . Anyways, great video:)))
amazon! This is the exact one I have: amzn.to/3si7kvk but seems like they don't have the pink one available anymore. There's plenty other brands on Amazon though! Just search for "3-tier rolling cart" :)
Great video! Just wanted to let you know that the cooling system in the MacBook Pro is designed for the laptop to be flat on a table. Storing it vertically isn’t optimal
Thank you for watching! I haven't found any proof from Apple warning against vertical storage. It may not be optimal, but the difference is probably negligible or Apple would make more of an effort to encourage keeping it on a flat surface. I think the key is to keep the fan exposed which the stand allows :)
Hey, I’m not sure which video it was but I remember you mentioned that Final Cut runs slowly on your M1 MacBook. I was doing some research today to buy a new monitor and came across this video: m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kpX561_XM20.html I noticed that your monitor is 27 inch 4k. The video basically says if you run this monitor as 1440p, so the text is larger than native 4k but smaller than 1080p, the MacBooks GPU is scaling the display to 5K and then halving the resolution. So since the monitor is 60hz, it does this 60 times a second. Which means less of the GPU is available to do intensive tasks such as video editing. Thought this might be helpful.
you might like the logitech mx keys (or mini) if you want to switch w/ bluetooth profiles. its made my workflow so much easier switching between personal laptop, work laptop, and my desktop when im coding, researching, and chatting
Are you running anything in the back ground, did you clean up your hard drive, or are you running to high file types in Final Cut? Like your desk setup!!! What do you think about the Mac mini with the Apple M1 chip, should I buy it know or wait tell the new one comes out this this year?
I just found your channel and have been really enjoying it! My journey is a lot like yours, but I’m 3 years behind as I’m 3 years younger :) I couldn’t find a video where you talk about your job including the stack of technologies you use. Do you have such a video?
aww how awesome!! I mention random tidbits about my job in my vlogs but don't have one comprehensive video -- I primarily use javascript (express and react) but I've used Scala for some data pipelines and GoLang for high traffic APIs. Always something new popping up!
Hi Marsela! How are you using the “good” laptop stand with your 2021 MacBook? The website description says it’s not compatible with the new M1 MacBooks.
just read the listing -- looks like it says "not compatible with M1 pro macbooks because it may not fit with a case" but works fine for me because I don't put mine in a case. Definitely look for a different option if you have a case on yours!
@@marselaaa Thanks so much for verifying it's the right one. My 16" M1 Max will arrive in about 2 months, so I'll get it then since I never use cases with my Macbooks. Unrelated, but I ordered the same counter stools you recommended in your past videos so I'm excited for those to come in a week. I'm really enjoying these setup and WFH videos. :)
Looks great - I also did a recent overhaul of my WFH set up and it's made such a difference! Just wondering about Teams calls if you have the laptop closed? will you have to open it out each time?
I normally have 0-1 meetings per day that require camera, and for those, I do remove the laptop and go sit on my couch haha you could also get a webcam and add it to your monitor for prime convenience but I haven't needed one yet
