I can only imagine how disappointed you were when his plans fell through. I believe everything happens for a reason & I think this will work out to your advantage. That is so awesome that the kids will have their home and their bedrooms back full time. I bet they, especially, are over the moon! We always think we know best and want things done differently. Awww our kids are similar ages. I have four, two boys and two girls. 🤍🦋 Oldest daughter 12 Oldest boy 9 Youngest daughter 6 Youngest boy 4 I also think waiting it out for yours and the kids old home will have everything come full circle once you're finally moved in and they're all comfortable in that familiarity once again. It seems like you four will be at peace and ready for the next chapter.

I can understand where your kids are coming from with wanting to keep their old house that they grew up in. My sister and me wanted one of us to keep our old childhood home that we lived in for 15 years. luckily my sister is a teacher and my soon to be brother in law has a good job as well so they were able to keep our childhood home while me and my husband live on his family’s farm that has been in his family for 70 years and that’s where he grew up so it worked out good for both of us.
