My mom once got a really bad dog bite from our own dog, we went to the E.R because my dog took half of my moms finger and ate it, she was in pain for a long time, we put that dog down a few weeks later and found the finger in her ashes and is still there this was 3 years ago Edit: Should note we didn't put her down because of this incident, we put her down because she was going through a lot of pain due to her age and we didn't want her to suffer.

The same thing happened to me with my own dogs when I was two, nobody was watching me because my mother was injured and my toy made a noise, well, let’s just say that two almost full grown dogs vs. one toddler didn’t go so well and now I have a scar on my face, tho I hope you’re okay as well!

When my cousin got a dog, it started liking me, so whenever I go to my cousin’s house, her dog always go excited and licks me.

This happened to my older sister. She went to go on a visit at our grandparents house, they had a dog ofc. Then someday, she went to go have a talk with the dog or have fun with the dog, while playing with the dog, she got bit in the side palm of her hand (the bite was deep). After the bite she only got her hand bandaged. Next day, another bite from the dog but on-top of the elbow, then another bite but on the other arm. She really sick (like a really high fever of 109 degrees) and was sent back home to get ready to go to the hospital to treat her high fever and vomiting

this is exactly why I’m scared of dogs 😭 (also don’t go telling me that most dogs aren’t harmful, I already know that and knowing that doesn’t really help.)

NO WAY BRO!?!?! This same exact thing happened to my little sis at one of my mom's friend which I called auntie house. I was playing with my auntie's daughter and she was playing with the dog when it started growling at her and when I saw that I told her to stop playing with it cuz it might bite her but of course she didn't listen. Later on she started crying and screaming and when my mum and I came to check what happened she had this big bite right under her eye and blood was all over the left side of her cheek. We had to take her to the hospital because it was a very big bite and she was losing a lot of blood from it and plus we had to make sure that it wasn't infected. She still has the scar on her face til this day and that happened when she was 4 and now she 9 so I'm guessing that scar permanent.

This happened to me but with 9 dogs at once…..it still hurts 😭😭

They were “siblings” not rlly tho he (the other dog) is 9 now and he’s a chocolate Labrador 😢

I remember when I was playing with my two pitbulls and they jumped me 💀 I went to skull the next day with a big ass scar on my face that EVERYONE was asking "What happened?" Or "Are you ok??" And all I said was "I fucked around with my dogs, and I found out"

oooh I have a similar story! when I was like... I dont even remember it's one of my earliest memories though, I was visiting my aunt's house and I was told not to get off of the furniture (off of the bed, chair, etc) because my mom and aunt didn't trust me not to get hurt around my aunt's dog. I get off of where ever I was sitting, I really dont remember where I was when I got off, but doggo bit me in the face. I still have the scar in my cheek. I remember my mom freaking out, then I remember a doctor's office where I got a butterfly shaped band-aid thing. Then nothing. Anyway its fun to know that other living beings also got bitten in the face as children!

I had a friend in second grade and had a similar accident, she had stitches on her face and a scar till this day

i don’t have a dog bite story but i have a kinda funny story. basically where i’m at in the summer we have a market on the harbor, and when i was a kid dogs were allowed, but there were a lot of biting incidents. and one time i went with my neighbours family, and there was a barking rottweiler and my neighbours mother told us to not go near and i went either way bc i grew up around “vicious” breeds and they’re usually just raised poorly. but the owner told me i could come by him but not to close but i got down and started rubbing between his eyes (basically the dogs temples) and he calmed down in a couple minutes. bro was just stressed

I always get injury everyday and when I was like 7 my sister's friend was spinning me by grabbing my hand and it was so fun but we accidentally stopped grabbing each other hand and I was thrown to an slide and my tooth fell, I broke my toe ones and was not available to play outside, there are many scars over my body 😢

I had a similar story to yours. Back in 2013 I got attacked by two pit bulls.

whenever I read storytimes and it starts with "When I was young, blah blah-" the song thats starts with "When I was young, I played for fun, made up the words nobody heard-" CANT STOP PLAYING OVER AND OVER AGAIN

Thats why when i see a stranger's dog even though its was friendly and teached well, i still get a jumpscare thinking it would attack me ✋😭

I had a similar injury happen to me. TOO LONG DIDN'T READ: Got bit by my dog by the eye after messing with him and ended up having a waterfall of blood gush out. I was swimming in my pool, as any 6 year old would. I was splashing water at my dog and I got up close for kisses. He was still in defense mode and bit me on my face. The bite was so close to my tear duct. I got out of the pool and started crying. Blood was gushing out like a waterfall and my twin went inside to get my dad. My dog still lives with us and is currently licking me.

Girl i got a story too: I think this happened when I was a least 6-7 years old, when I was at my Nana's house I was looking for a snack and saw some ice cream and I wanted some ice cream and I wanted to ask my nana if I could have some, she was at a relative's house next door so I got my shoes one and started to walk to my relative's house while I was walking I noticed one of my relative's dogs and it started barking at I was very confused and I think I stopped walking and then two more shows up and I got attacked not by one, not by two, but three dogs! Long story short I was screaming for my nana and I think my nana heard and came outside to see what was going on and she saw what was going on got the dogs off me and took me in my relative's house to patch me up and after that she took me back to her house and now I am very cautious around dogs but I still love dogs

Well, if you have a dog like that then the owner is probably not the best in terms of teaching their dog to behave. I once lived like right next to a couple a very old and rude couple who had one of those small rat dogs and it would try to bite me and they would blame it on me even tho it was clearly not my fault and my parents knew that but not all dogs are bad I'd say most dogs are amazing and great I am a dog person 100% I love dogs and I loved dogs ever since i was born and I have a dog, he is old because I got him for my 3rd bday and I am soon turning 15 so yeah but my dog loves children he would never hurt a child my friends would often surround my dog and pet him and even tho he might have been scared of them he never bit anyone now I like to annoy my dog a lot and sometimes he like grabs my hand with his teeth and it doesn't hurt at all but then he licks it to make sure he didnt hurt me which is sweet 😂 My dog bit a cop once but just because he was scared and the cop was fine just laughed it off. When my dad was a child a dog bit him exactly in the spot that is shown in the video but my dad isn't scared of dogs and the dog was most likely scared or annoyed and you can't expect dogs to not protect themselves so I want people here to know that dogs are not monsters and most likely they are just scared or try to protect themselves so try to understand it from a dog's perspective

From that day on, that dog became the food of the Chinese.😊

I have an Extreme phobia of dogs Listen when I was 5 / 7 I was picking flowers in the Garden then a neighbor of ours came walking a dog and soon the owner accidently let go of the leash and I was so sacred I ran so much un till the owner somehow got the dog to calm down but I was so scared that night I could not sleep and by the time I did it was maybe like 9,o clock PM Luckily I did not get hurt

Something like this happened to me once, I was at my aunts friends house and they were talking in the living room. Meanwhile, I was playing with my aunts friends cat, and I tried to give the cat some yarn and it scratched me across the face. I swear I could feel the cats claws inside of my cheek, and it left a red mark that stretched all the way across my face. Thankfully the mark is gone now, but I will forever remember that cat 😭

An incident like this once happened to me, here’s how it went. Basically I was at my cousins house, I was petting their dog and then went to pet their cat. The dog basically tried to get attention from me but instead of a light tap, I got a huge scar across my eye. Don’t worry it wasn’t on my eye it was on the outside.

I use to know someone who had an uncle and his uncles dog was trained to be a guard dog and one day killed the uncles son, so they put the dog down

I was attacked by a large dog when I was around…let’s say 3 years old? I was visiting our family friend’s house, and they had two dogs. One was gentle, her name was Maddie. And the other one was…not as calm, and very sensitive. His name was (I forgot the name). But anyways, as we got there, I was just sitting on the floor minding my own business, coloring and playing with the other dog, when (Y/N) (the other dog) came in from outside. I was laughing and cheering as I was playing with the other dog sought it as screaming. Since that dog was more trained to be a guard dog, he ran right for my face and bit me. Really hard. I was *NOT* sent to the E.R., and the dog was not put down and is still alive to this day. Maddie passed from cancer. (That dog was much less violent ever since he almost got a bullet to his neck.)
