Candy canes were always a thing in my family. My mom would hang them on the tree and she would hang an unwrapped one on the bottom limb. Our little dog would get a lick off the candy cane whenever she walked by the tree. She didn’t take it off the limb though. On Christmas morning while we opened gifts she would get her candy cane and eat it. She knew that one candy cane was hers. After I left home I always had a candy cane on my tree.

Hey Meghan, Happy Tuesday. I love all of your what’s new in Aldi and Sam’s club videos. ❤ I can look ahead of what they have in stores to see if I want to go there or not before actually making the trip. ❤ I’m the type to suck my candy cane until they become a dangerous point. 😂❤ I’m short and I look young and I always feel funny about it. 😂 you skipped a new find/item for the season eggnog, I know it’s around every year but only around Christmas time. ❤

How much does the Nutcracker at the end of your video go for? I love it...and I love your videos. I watch them and take Screensaver shots of the items I want to buy, print them out, and send my husband to Sam's to get them for me. Let me tell you...those 1/2-lb peanutbutter cups you showed us a few days ago are so delicious. My husband and I shared one, and we gave the other two to our favorite neighbors to enjoy, and they loved it. I am fairly new to your channel, but it has become my favorite. I love how you show the item long enough so I can take a good screenshot. I wish I could go to Sam's Club but I am bedridden with terminal cancer so I can't... but you remind me of the fun and excitement I used to get at every visit to Sam's when I could go. Thank you for what you do. ❤

I’m so sorry to hear about your cancer. I’m glad that we get to spend time together. That makes me really happy. Reese’s peanut butter cups are definitely for sharing especially the one and a half pound cups. I love that you shared them with your neighbors.❤️ Our nutcracker friend is $299.98 😊

@thegrocerylady Thanks for your response, and I'm definitely getting that big Nutcracker. He's awesome. Having cancer does suck. In 2020, I was told that I only had a few months to live but my Oncologist performed a liquid biopsy test on me that showed I had markers in my blood that said I would be a good candidate for Immunotherapy. Three years later, and I'm still here and still in remission ... Keytruda and Lenvima can work miracles. Unfortunately, Immunotherapy usually extends your life about 2.5 years and I'm a little over that now. Mentally, I am prepared to leave this world, but I'm also very thankful for all the extra time I've had with my loved ones.

@thegrocerylady There's a beautiful song by the group called "Disturbed" called "Hold on to Memories," about keeping people alive by remembering them. This song really touched me when I first heard it because my brother was killed in Vietnam in 1968, and I've been sharing memories of him with pictures and stories on social media to keep him alive. But, he would now be 75 years old and was only 19 when he died, so there aren't that many people still alive that actually knew him. And, I fear that when I am gone his memory will disappear. It crushes me. He didn't get an extra 3 years to make more memories like I did. So everyday that I stay alive means that he stays alive too.

Its funny because I am only 5’ 7” and I have been since I was like 11, I grew so fast as a pre teen and teen and then just stopped getting taller but its hilarious because I was still the “tall friend” 😂
