I always leave my Christmas tree and decorations until Jan 6th and take it down on the Jan 7th. I was born in Europe so that's how my parents did it. The 3 wise men only reached the baby Jesus on Jan 6th with the gifts so it's considered the Christmas season. Enjoy your decor as long as it makes you and your kids happy.🦋

We take ours down after January 7th too, after the a Ukrainian Christmas (my husbands side). Can’t wait to eat perigees, sausage, beets and cabbage 😅

Same! I'm a 9th generation German American and Lutheran. Tree stays up til Epiphany here! I leave my winter decor up through February.

Love that idea! My tree is still up, and it’s March. My husband injured himself and I need his help because it’s so heavy. I’m seriously thinking about keeping it up all year long!

I have already started taking my decorations down. Just ready for my house to be back to normal. I don’t envy people that have to clean up/organize all of the kids toys. That would be overwhelming for me. My niece and her husband took their two girls to Disney the morning after Christmas so they had to clean the house and organize the toys on Christmas night. They didn’t want to come home to that task. Happy New Year!!! 🦋

Thank you for all the motivation!! I know the feeling I’m sad about Christmas being over too! For the first time this year im doing winter decor, I have already started and I love it! I’m keeping my trees up I just took all the ornaments off and got rid of everything red,It’s so calming and relaxing but still so cozy.

🦋 this was very motivating and got me up and cleaning in my kitchen, getting my special holiday platters and dishes put away nicely for next year. I also got my sink cleaned and counters wiped down. My kids are all adults so I no longer have the Christmas aftermath to clean up 😂 We usually take our tree down in New Year’s Day. You do whatever feels right for your family, like you said it’s your first Christmas in your new home. I am so happy for you and your kids and especially your oldest son having his own room that he wanted. You are a hard working mama and it’s so nice to see you and your family getting to enjoy the results of your hard work. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

I feel the same about my Christmas decorations this year. I am thinking of leaving my winter stuff out and changing my tree into a valentines tree. I did it one year and I loved it. Having all the decorations up helps me also through the yucky winter months . I suffer with seasonal anxiety disorder and this time of year is rough.

Absolutely loved this! 🦋 I was able to get my home reset in the evening Christmas Day. I organized my boys toys the 26th and took down all my decorations and tree the 27th. I love going into the new year with a clean slate. Today I’m trying to relax but as we all know, the messes never stop when you have kiddos! Wow, you did a great job getting that all done in one day! I’ve cleaned the major mess out of the living room but I’m still working on the rest of the house. I leave my tree and decorations up until at least New Year , then work on getting them down and the house reset.

🦋 I took my Christmas down today and got the house all clean. It feels so good and cozy, my fireplace is going a candle burning, and soft music playing! Trying to decompress! We are traveling 3 hours away to see family tomorrow and will be home on Monday. I wanted to get it all done so we come home to a clean house. ❤

I put all the Christmas stuff away the day after Christmas. By the time Christmas gets here, I'm so ready to have my house back----and I'm always surprised at how much bigger the house looks when I'm done. Yours looks great---keep it up as long as you want!🦋

🦋 I agree, Christmas went by so quick. We will take down the tree after the feast if the Three Kings. They used to give gifts on this day. Thanks for sharing about the sprayway. Love that spray.

🦋 I took my inside Christmas decor down Christmas Day, the tree and outside decorations came down the next day. I needed the house back to “normal”. It’s always nice to have it nice and cleaned. I agree with you. This Christmas was different because you were in your new house.

Love your getting things together video and so glad you all had a great Christmas. Mine was a little bittersweet. My grandson and his girlfriend were gonna be having a little girl in February, her name was gonna be Maddison. They lost her at 17 weeks on October 3rd this year to what the doctor called a catastrophic cord event. I and we all missed getting to buy things for her for when she would be born. Then on Christmas Eve he asked her to marry him and they are on the top of the world. It took him a year to get up the nerve, LOL. Thank you for the cleaning motivation you give us and being such a great Mom to your babies, Hope 2024 is the most awesome year for you all.

I took everything down yesterday just have to move a large piece of furniture that will have to wait until I have some help to move it. I like taking this week to purge and organize around the house and start the new year with a clean sparkling house.

My mom used to make a boxed cake mix with leftover candy. She only used soft candy like chocolate or even m&ms. She put all the candy in the food processor to make it small, then added it to the cake batter. Comes out great! 🦋

I always hate taking Christmas decorations down. I usually take them down New Year's Day and put winter decorations up in kitchen only. Girl I'm like you feel guilty when I go to bed sometimes with house not picked up. I have always been that way even when we leave on vacation. The house has to be nice and clean before we leave, so I can trash it when I get home. LOL🦋🦋😊

Just a tip about the tea it can be made without boiling. If you add your bags & water, it can sit about 2 hours at room temp to steep. It's the same as making cold brew coffee but with less steep time.🦋
