Well this was the best video I've seen on RU-vid. First couple of minutes it seemed very "sponsored / paid promotion" to me, but as you keep watching, you understand you're genuinely engaged in explaining your thoughts in simple (but not too simple) way. And that's why I say this was the best RU-vid video I've seen ever. The production quality is top notch, you dive deep enough into the details instead of going overly technical (I'm a fan of Digital Foundry, Gamer's Nexus, Hardware Unboxed etc), but lately I've been feeling that going too deep can be a bit extreme sometimes, and I worry about every single detail. This is the comparison I was looking for. I honestly like the newer monitor features of the Neo and don't care about the Smart TV aspect, but I'm not sure how I feel about switching to a curved monitor. I will have to go to the store and take a look. I want to sit farther than I do from my current 28" flat.

I want an oled but i'm scared of burn-in so I think I'm going to get the Neo G7, I just wish it was a flat panel though but oh well, that curve looks insane lol. Does the curve effect the image quality? as long as your sitting directly in front of it it should look fine right?

Hey Alex, this is a superb monitor and I have their flagship 49" curve screen version and it does not disappoint. I believe it has built tech that adjusts the screen display based on the type of contents being used which is separate to the graphics card and CPU. Anyhow great vid and awesome contents 👍😁

Hey Alex, I already have a 34-inch Ultrawide on my desk (for productivity). I am looking for a productivity/gaming monitor (for PS5) to connect with my Ultrawide and be a beast on its own. Which one of these would you recommend? Or would you suggest looking at something different? I personally am hesitant about a 32 inch with a 34 inch Ultrawide, but could make it work. Thanks
Hi there, sorry it took me so long to respond! I'd say go for the flat G7, ut maybe look at the bigger one. I think the curved one could be a little awkward next to the ultrawide. I'm reviewing a 34" G8 Ultrawide which could work next to the other one, but depends on how much space you've got. The flat 32" G7 I showed here is awesome for gaming and I like that it has those smart features too.
Do you have a settings guide for the Neo G7 32inch 165hz for Xbox X ??? I got one yesterday and feel that it should look far better than it currently does. All I did is follow a random RU-vid vid for setting up. Play BF1 mainly. Some maps looked white and washed out. Some maps look overly red. And I feel images should look clearer in game and on the Xbox homepage
You had me confused for a minute. I bought an Odyssey G7 last year and it's a 1440p monitor with 240 hz refresh. I had no idea there were two completely different models with the same name. Either Samsung needs to come up with better names for their monitors or I need to get a clue. Thanks for the review. It was enjoyable to watch and learn.

Hey nice video, im eyeing of the G8 Neo or the G8 Oled as potential next upgrade. You mentioned immersion being something you enjoy, if you tilt your speakers towards your listening position it will also give you the best response from your KRK's to improve immersion also. Anyhoo kept it up!

So what should I buy the Simple g7 it’s a little more expensive or the Neo g7 it’s a little bit cheap like almost 400 difference and why 32 inches on NEO G7 and not $400 it’s 400 riyals
@kumardeepanshu8503 I would say it's great for gaming and movies for one person at a desk. When I look down on it stood up it loses a little colour. Nothing terrible. Similar from angles. I bought it for myself not as a share for all. I sit 2-4 feet away in an inclosed understairs area so can't tell you about sunlight reflections.
Good, but a better way to differ between the two monitors would be nice in the future. I watched the video for the ordinary G7 but since you blend it all together and focus on the neo its hard for me too find a resaon to watch the video.
Just got the neo g7 on black friday sale. Looks sooooo much better in person. It's hard to see how good a monitor looks while looking at it "on" a less good monitor. The curve is a bit overkill though. And the curve isn't consistent (it's more curved in the center, less curved at the sides). That's my only complaint. I think it'd look better at like 1400R curve, and a completely consistent curve across it's width. At 32" 4k legibility looks good at 125% text scaling. But it's still completely readable at native 100% for apps which don't play nice with text scaling. A bit squinty at 100%, but acceptable. If you spend 8 hours a day in an app which can't scale text though... that might get old. I have a text image with black bars & white bars, which are very very very subtly different shades (at the extremes of white & black levels). Once calibrated decently, it makes every last detail at the high and low end visible, at the same time. Colors are incredible, and incredibly accurate. And it actually looks phenomenal in both HDR and SDR. Text clarity is superb (granted, being at 125% helps). I was on the fence about buying it for a long time. Glad I got off the fence. Don't expect to push games in 4k unless you have fairly beastly pc specs though. Although DLSS & FSR can help.

@@AlexGTech It was back in the 00s I think PlayStation 2. You can play it now on PS4 or 5, survival horror game taking photos of ghosts gets them to go away. Have to look through the view finder so lots of jump scares.

Oh Eivind those were the days huh? I grew up watching F1 and Senna is my childhood hero. Greatly missed for his racing and personality. My brother in Brazil (much more talented than me!) customised this helmet for me. @@AlexGTech Used to watch every race, but there were things that made me lose both interest and respect for F1 . They started to cut down the cylinders. Was'nt all too bad with the V10, but cutting down to an F1 V8 and Then to a 1,6L V6!!! WTF?! Also the new, annoying rules & regulations... After the race where R. Barichello was ordered by his team Ferrari to let M. Scumbager pass by, I totally lost all respect for schummi and Fellali. Have not watched any F1 race in years. It's more WRC and WRCC for me now. Used to drive Lot on tracks like Nurnberg and others more nearby to home like Hell, Rudskogen, Våler aso, before I lost the privilege to drive (epilepsy). And no I did not drive a JAAAAAAAAGHH like you. I had a tuned, modified Volvo R Station wagon, but my baby was a heavily modified 1991 Nissan 200SX, tuned like hell up to 587bhp! I miss him every day😭😭😭
I'm sorry but watching 24fps / 30 fps footage of even 200fps gaming is an eyesore. We on YT can only see the low fps which feels like your games are lagging even though you're running the best equipment. No hate.
Hmm interesting. Well I have had no issues whatsoever watching this and it's streamed on to a 65" HDR (4k) TV which has captured everything as it should. It's been absolutely spot on for myself as a YT subscriber.
Hi there. Only my talking head bits were recorded at 30FPS. The footage where I point the camera at the monitor was shot 100% at 60FPS, apart from the clip where I showed a sped up footage of the Alienware. That was a downloaded clip from a previous video. I wonder if RU-vid was still processing when you watched but unlikely. Will do some digging and try watching on a few different devices. Out of curiosity, what screen did you use to watch it on?
@@stevegrimeszz scanlines are only available on the 240hz neo g8 model. Flickering is done only in LSC mode and at low brightness when VRR mode is on. Please don't speak without knowing. Don't comment on a product you didn't buy!
