I can understand why people don't enjoy the paper balls but I must admit I'm very pleased to see them. They have produced a crazy amount plastic packaging over the years and I think the cardboard balls and paper bags lighten the load on landfill. I'm not sure why they haven't permanently switched over. I had heard that if you send the capsules back to them they will recycle but I don't think it's likely that people will be bothered. I'm sorry I love your videos had to give my treehugger opinion. LOL Sorry to be a bit of a Debbie Downer.
I totally agree with you that, for environmental reasons, it's much better and I do applaud them and any company for trying to make a positive change for the environment. I had no clue I could send back the balls for them to recycle! Thank you so much for that information, I will have to look into that! I have a box in my garage that I can't just "throw away" so that would be a great alternative!
I just got one today n mine didn’t start bubbling till I opened it ,I used rubber gloves to open mine ,I have the same as you but my doll was different mine is holly wood star
I had no idea They weren't supposed to be released until the 1st. I just opened mine.. now I'm just going around RU-vid to see if anyone else opened any. You may have twisted your ball in the wrong direction, because when I twisted mine all the water directly drained into the bottom of the ball, and disintegrated the center... So when I popped off my top after the foam, my doll and Oliver things were just sitting in the foam
So I just bought one of these for my kiddos. I ended up accidentally tearing the instructions so that is how I found your video. I just wanted to say I didn’t have a bad experience besides putting the fricking glitter hearts in. That took a hot little minute lol but I do wanna say you got a bad batch. Also I think if you used hot water instead of warm water that would’ve helped the slime or whatever that slimy stuff was break much easily. The reason I think you bought a bad batch was because once I twisted to reveal the doll and clothing, the part you used the scissors on to pry open, I noticed that when we did ours, that part was attached to the clear part where you pour the water. Other than that I think this was pretty fun and I’m def gonna get more l in the future. This video helped me out because I did destroy the instructions lol. Hopefully you’ll have a better experience with these little LOL Surprises.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Yeah, I definitely should have used hot water. That was my mistake and it probably would have made the whole thing easier. Glad the video was able to help :)
Had to watch your video after getting one of these and accidentally ripping off the instructions. I thought we were doing something wrong, but we ran into the same problems with the glitter, etc. My daughter was disappointed (even with all the foam and such) and asked me not to get this kind again. I think they may want to reconsider the engineering if they want the kiddos to be running point on this.
Relatable..my daughter opened that gold ball you 1st opened & everything went exactly the same, I couldn’t believe it when I was finally able to opened the bottom to get to the doll & seen that disgusting slimy looking egg yolk covering everything 🙈 So Gross And Messy! 😅 I tried to keep my cool as best as I could and ran to the sink 😆 at least she liked the doll in the end I guess but like you said..it didn’t color change. That was the last one we’ve bought..I’ve been buying them for years for both my girls, massive collection. Seems the quality is just getting worse imo..not worth it.
And also it’s not a hassle, it’s called FUN , children live fun and mess and if you weren’t some cooped up rich perfect lady you’d know that maybe if you could understand anything these kids would be doing things the RIGHT way and having actual fun instead of complaining the whole time, have some spirit for the love of god.
Lol, well, thank you for assuming I'm rich! Far from it, we live a normal, modest life. I'm also far from "cooped up" seeing how I actually am a parent myself and we have plenty of fun in our household 🙂. You are correct in the fact that I didn't notice the "hot water" part and yes, it absolutely would have probably made the process easier. However, as someone who has unboxed a plethora of children's toys, primarily LOL Surprise, and having seen all sorts of packaging, I stand by my assessment of this being a total pain. Seeing how I'm an adult reviewing these products to give an honest opinion, I think it's important to show not just good but also the "flaws" in these products so other parents can make an informed decision on if it's a product they chose to have in their home. I have plenty of other videos that you might consider more "fun". Feel free to check them out 😉
They’ve actually been out for at least a couple months now because I have a few and got them in April. Maybe someone made a mistake on the release date hehehe! But I know here in CA we’ve had them for a while. Believe it or not I still haven’t opened mine because I’ve been so busy unboxing other things. I love this!
Bought this for my granddaughter and never read instructions or added water. I through the glitter & powder in the trash and just took it apart like a normal Lol doll. Not into the mess. 15:12
I just got this for my daughter and had to watch a video to see how to do it haha ! I some how didn’t see the directions either or messed them up anyway it’s very messy I won’t get this kind again 😂
I think you’re supposed to twist the top clockwise 🤔 I’m trynna remember. I think that’s what I did and the bubbles came out the top after the water sunk in.
I just watched one of these yesterday and it really started bubbling out of the top like a volcano. It was very messy but it did last for easily 60 Seconds. It seemed like when she Twisted it the talk turned farther, it wasn't such a short twist. I don't think you did anything wrong I think it may have been a manufacturer's defect. It certainly looks like you did everything correctly maybe the second one will be fine. To be honest I think when you have to start washing things before you can put the toy together the surprise isn't worth it. It just means more work for Mom or The Collector.
Thank you. Yes, the second ball was easier because I had some idea as to what to do. I can't say I would buy this particular ball for my kids though lol 😅
I have one of these and I already opened it. It was like eight is it was my birthday and I was so excited and now I am with her and I hope your guitar.
the best way to open it once it's done bubbling is to put your thumbs together, grab the ball with your thumbs in the heart, and push with your thumbs forward. it doesn't twist off, it kindof pops off.
And a mess it was!! Good idea! It does state a bunch of warnings on the label under the outer wrapping, so just make sure you double-check. It states that it can stain, etc.
But You can remove her from ball without all this mess. I never play with this. Well I understand you wana show people how does it work this time, but when you will buy some dolls for yourself just skip the fizzy blobby part.
