IIRC, there's few scholarships for international students. Most likely there's 5k during your admission. And that's all. Enjoy the following years without any finical support.

Exchange residence is an upper year building so you won’t be able to get it in first year but you can defiantly apply for it for your second/upper years! I was waitlisted for an year before I got it (applied in my first year, got it for my third year)

The common study rooms are only on the main floor (front desk area)! 😊 The whole building is connected so it doesn’t take long!

I'm coming to UBC next year (Sep 2021), I'm a PhD student and honestly, as an international student I'm panicking by the housing right now and these rooms are like the only thing I can afford (for on-campus living) 😅... jtcber Ubc students! And you can choose your residences but it’s not guaranteed. A nano suite at exchange is $700/month, yes!:)

No worries! It’s $700/month for this unit type! It would’ve been increased to $740 but because of the rent freeze it’s $700 for now :)

Shanto Sardar I think so, but I don’t think the nano would fit a couple haha! I‘m pretty sure you can can in all studios but don’t take my word for it :)

Kunwar Nagi unfortunately not because it’s considered upper year residence so you can only be offered it after your first year:( this room is $700 which is extremely affordable for living alone in van!

Elena Costantini You get to rank your top 5 (I think) room/residence choices and they provide you with a wait list number until you’re offered housing! To my knowledge, wait list numbers depend on when you apply so apply as early as possible to exchange and rank it as your first for a better chance😊
