I will make one soon too. Last month I bought one for 2.95€. It hurts because its not wide enough at my wrist, the "cushion" is very little from foam. Not for use. I'll make the cushion with adheshive points on a large wide ribbon. Less price than 2.95 Euro!

No, it's not expensive to have them sharpened. My sharpening service does pinking shears for $5 a pair. This hack ruins both the knife AND ultimately the pinking shears, which surely will cost you more than $5 to get them done right in the first place.

Just cut a circle. Sew around it and gather pulling and securing the thread until you get the "ball" effect. Fill it and close the bottom. Use thick thread to go around to make the divisions and that's it.

What I did with my pin cushion,not as pretty as yours but I glue ef it to the leaf of the bottle as I kept loosing it when I I put it down. Now I've got the bottle tight handy and no cushion on the floor.
