Your items are priced really well, I think people have to realize that crocheting takes a LONG time even if its a small plus ie you have to do every single row. Your little table was so cute too!

i mean i understand it takes a while and you need the rescoures and stuff but don't you think its a bit overprices considering the size etc? like if you're expecting to make a decent amount of sales at a market then people most likley wouldnt pay over 20-30 for a small crotchet plush..

Aaaa, that was me! I was super excited to see your table! Your work was SOOO precious in person! I love the little bee, duck, and froggy babies I got. And you and your hubby were so sweet. 😊 Also, from an artist's and consumer's perspective, I think your prices are very fair. You can definitely see all of the love and time put into your creations. The stitching is gorgeous irl! I'll be on the look out for any other craft fairs you attend

I've been crocheting for a long time, about 11 years now. I've explored every pattern I possibly can over the years. And your plushies are my most favorite. I would love one of everything you're selling hahaha ☺️ i think your prices are perfect, they are extremely high quality plushies and unique, lovable designs! Kawaii plushies online go for similar prices, and yours are HANDMADE. Keep trying with selling in person! You inspire me as a crochet artist so much!

I just want to congratulate you for your First crafts fair!!!!! Pit, your booth, marketing , products looks SO Professional, it show you put time, work hard pay attention to details. You really have to stop feeling g "guilty" to sell to parents.. The best sells person Has to be Convinced and Passionate about its own products!!!🥰 And yours have so many qualities. You also should prepared yourself to have GOOD answers to some of the questions and comments you received.Always answer the same thing! Maybe You think you repeat...but the consumer hear it for the first time!😄 So it less tiring or energy- consuming then to have to think about new answer each time. Try it! 😉 I used to be Incharged of a project I created myself and have to find subventions and/or present my project and I found a way to formulate my sentences yto really tell the important points, that was easy for me but really convincing at the same time. After a time, I realized that it was always the same questions, and comments, and I was Taki g notes of the things I was saying that received a good reaction, incorporate it in my " prepared speech and answers" and I became so excellent at that exercise! Because having to sell something, or getting a subventions is similar: you want people to see yours proects( products)the way you see it! And after that they will agree to give itvthe money it deserve! Good luck again...I know you will be one excellent!!!🤗

I've been in different markets selling handmade notebooks.. what I can tell you is, first is congrats on your first market!! If I was there I would have bought a lot!, second, your prices are not high, they're good, specially if your main income is your handmade products..., crochet stuff takes a lot of time to make, even if you're fast. Maybe an advice.. try to focus your markets on people who will keep buying and love your product, like anime cons, comic cons, gaming cons, a lot more people go there and they go to spend loads of money, plus they'll know about the characters you make. Don't get discouraged, this happens, there will be better markets, more people buying and more support for your business.. and remember, every time one person is not willing to pay for your work, there will be someone or a lot of people who are willing to pay for what you do!

Hi! I stumbled upon your video. First, I have to say your plushies are absolutely ADORABLE! But as a (frugal) consumer, I was a little taken aback by the prices. Then again, I don’t know how to crochet, so your pricing could be absolutely fair. I’m a paper crafter myself and will be doing a craft fair tomorrow in Diamond Bar, CA. I see that your event was in Yorba Linda, so it’s not too far. The booth fee was only $25. Your booth fee is very high and it doesn’t seem like there were many people there, so it might not be worth going back to that location. My craft fair is part of the Winter Snow Fest, so there will be lots of kids. I encourage you to check it out; I think you would do great here. It’s kind of a high income area as well, so I think you would get more sales. You might also want to think about doing a “2 for” deal, like $30 each or 2 for $50. I almost always sell 2 items when I do that. I hope that helps; good luck!
@pitachan
@pitachan Год назад
Thank you Abby! I totally understand that everyone has their own budget and value the craft differently. I felt like the first fair I did didn’t have the right audience for what I sell. I did the 2nd craft fair recently and did much better (still have to edit the video 😅). I didn’t realize that a $25 table for a craft fair exists, so thank you for letting me know!

I don’t have experience with resin art but what I think might be helpful is set your booth in a way that attracts customers. For an example, if you put your products at the eye level, it will be easier to see from faraway than them being laid on the table. You might also want to experiment with different banner or sign for your booth. First event is always a learning experience. If it’s not perfect it’s okay. It’s not meant to be perfect the first time anyways. I wish you all the best!

Your prices aren't too high; you just had the wrong market...at your market. HOWEVER....I think it would be cute if you gave the plushies "homes": a square box in bright colors with one open side that you could put like a two dimensional castle or house or tree on the open side where you would put the plushie. People pay crazy amounts of money for interesting packaging and you could easily double your price for it.

okay, the plushies look amazing im not going to lie! however i think $50 is a bit overpriced for actually quite a small plushie..i mean you could buy yarn and find / make a pattern and execute it for atleast $10-$15 however i can tell you put so much time into them!! :D
@pitachan
@pitachan Год назад
Thank you for liking my plushies. I appreciate that. I price my products the way I do because I value my time, effort and skills. Sorry to say but $10-15 is way too undervalued. To me, art is a luxury and not a necessity. I understand that not everyone will be able to or willing to purchase these.

@jobe2301
@jobe2301 Год назад
It doesn't matter how much per hour you are making. Time spent on something, contrary to popular crafter's myth, does NOT determine it's actual value to the consumer. So, yes, your prices are too high. A plush toy is just not worth that much to people who have bills to pay, it's just an economical fact that crafters can't deny. Also, people online telling you your pruces are fine are not actually people who are going to be shopping your booths at markets! Don't give up, just be more realistic about your products and prices :)
