The color removed itself because the hot water opened up the hair shaft which is where the color lives! I would suggest after letting it cool to put conditioner on it, combing it through and rinse with lukewarm/cool water to close the shaft back up and add the moisture in it!

Everyone else might say I'm crazy..and I don't care what the boxes say,, alwaysss dye your hair dirty, if it's clean I always start piling all the products on it,, leave in PRODUCTS, hairspray,u name it lol, anything to make it dirty,😎🤣 hope this helps Gf, the dye will stick way better and longer too 😁😆

Thank you for the tips.I actually boiled my synthetic wig a month ago and let it sit in fabric softener for 45 mins and it actually made a difference.Its super soft and manageable now.

I like putting a protein treatment and coconut oil on my wet extensions and the putting in a ziplock and microwaving for 1 minute works great as well! let cool for a few hours or leave over night to cool. helps seal the cuticle down when it cools and locks in the protein .

I was wearing these cheap extensions from Amazon and I didn't plan to reuse them but I saw your video and thought I might as well give this a shot and if it doesn't work out I was just going to toss these extensions anyway... great idea. Just so you know, olive oil removes color from the hair. You can actually use it full strength and leave in over night and lighten hair without heat.

damdoris Never ever dye your hair Hair when it's clean gf . ALWAYS ALWAYSSSS dye your hair when it's dirty...if mine is clean I throw a bunch of product's in it to dirty it up. Just NVRRRRR dye clean I don't give 2 shits what the box says!! CHEERS from Toronto

OMG I am in so much shock , this works so good. I just did differently I let the water boil until it was hot, but before I use a different type of oil, an coconut conditioner. Afterward I cut it off let it set for about 5 min to cool off then gently dipped my hair in until it was fully submerged. It was gorgeous. I ran an got 2more out of my closet an tried them beautiful. Thank you so much. You are a life saver.

The red didn't stick because heat opens the hair scales, where the color is to be found. :) red is the hardest color to have and maintain :) Red is soooo nice, but such a pain! To keep your red color longer (or any color for that same matter) you'll always have to rinse it with lukewarm water, so the scales won't open up as much due to heat and the color remains a little longer... and top it off with a conditioner; this closes the scales/shaft and keeps the color inside the hair. Don't forget to mention, a lovely soft finish! Happy weaving :D

The dye came off because holding the water opens the hair shaft, and it soked in the water so yes that will happen permanent or rinse. But with a perminent might just fade. So the color won't be as loud as it originally was.

So do you think if you let the water cool down completely and leave the extensions in for a day or so, the hair will reabsorb the hair color? I want to revive my extensions, but I don't want to lose the semipermanant dye that's on them!

😂I got bumped, I thought I bought straight Virgin Ali express hair only to wash it and find out that it's actually curly and matts up super easily. now I boil it with conditioner, olive oil and coconut oil only to find dark purplish brown water in to pot during the boiling process.😂😂 This "Virgin" hair has been dyed and I've been cheated out of my money😁. Hair feels super soft straight after boiling thoe, thanks for the tips💖

I have Peruvian bundles and Malaysian wig I just tried on both of them. The Malaysian wig feels really soft. But i only let it soak in the water for 5mins I got worried the hair will fall off. I'm waiting to feel the Peruvian when it dries. Will comment again on that..thank you.

Wow okay, this is the only thing that has actually worked for me so far. Dryness came back after about 2 days but my extensions are old and I do wear them everyday (don't sleep in them though). This is technically a high heat on the hair though so does it have any long term damaging effects?
