This show is adorably wholesome! I've read the graphic novel it was based on and the show is such a good adaptation, you can tell the original writer Alice Oseman made sure it was true to it. Can't wait for more reactions!
The moment when Nick hugs him for the first time while saying goodbye makes me so soft everytime. Hugs are the sweetest and I think the purest form of affection ❤
as a british teenager, heartstopper hit so hard for me and it hurt really bad but also made me happy, its genuinely such an accurate rep of same sex British schools and relationships, it made me miss my "best friend" too hehehe Nick hit the hardest as i was the straight, good girl, pink notes, extroverted girl and i just really related to the struggle he had and no we're not allowed phones and they take year 7 and 8s (11-13) phones and lock them away :((((( we normally just hide in the locker rooms but its funner just to do "friend stuff" like sit in my best friends lap THATS A JOKEEE

Yeah, Ben has stuff going on, but he's also really hurting Charlie, and him still figuring stuff out, or not willing to come out yet, doesn't mean he gets a pass on hurting other people. And he definitely doesn't get a pass on practically assaulting Charlie. I appreciate that even Ben, while he's definitely in the wrong, still has motivations that make sense. Tao too, he's overprotective because he worries and his past experience (ie the bullying) has shown him that the jocks are not to be trusted, so I get where he's coming from, even if he might be going about it the wrong way. :)
I really love the reactions!! Nick and Charlie are very dear to my heart, they've been part of my life since '19. The Heartstopper graphic novel are the ones that boosted up my confidence to finally come out as gay to my mom after 14 years of hiding in the closet. The netflix adaptation definitely gave more depths to the characters I loved specially Elle, as she is not part of the Volume 1. Looking forward to watch the rest of your reactions on all of the episodes!!

We aren’t allowed to have our phones out, and if we’re caught with them, they get taken away, and we have to get our parents to sign a slip saying they know about it and we have to pay 15 dollars, and if we don’t pay within 48 hours they throw the phone away…
I graduated in 2000. I went to a small country highschool in Texas with a graduating class of 80. I wasn't out back then, but people Just assumed I was gay and gave me hell all the way through. My school and where I'm from, it was the worse possible thing to be gay. That's why I moved away as soon as I got the chance. .

in your reaction video of episodes 3 and 4 you have this option of simultaneous translation in the subtitles (simultaneous translation by Google), I don't know how it works but I think that if you can configure the subtitles of this video like that of 3 and 4, it would help me (and will reach more people) but if you can't configure it, fine, don't worry
