They (Yankee, and other popular brands) also contain Formaldahyde....pretty serious stuff. Thats why we get headaches. Its the only way to make it a strong smelling candle, but yes beeswax is my go to base for candles!
@@TcVideoHosting There are people making all types of products. Some are making essential oil based candles that simply doesn't work, no fragrance. Some are using blend of FO and EO. Some are using FO thinking it is EO. And some are using FO and just lying about it. Making candles is easy. Making candles right is kind of tricky, there are pitfalls. I have done extensive research on making candles. Making EO candles is a no-go. The results are terrible. You can't bypass basic science.
this is true in a way but it’s not as toxic as you’re making it seem people go their entire lives burning candles and see no health problems. it’s a slight risk you’re fixing not a major one
Being an engineer and a candle maker with 5 years of experience. I call it B.S. 😂. P.S. we sell soy wax and beeswax candles. Still I will point out that paraffin is as good or as bad as any other candles made with soy or beeswax. And not all essential oils are safe for making candles. Instead they can be even more harmful than any regular scented candle. And I can say this because I started my candle making journey with Beeswax and essential oils candle making so I did a lot of research in regards with safety and precautions related to essential oil and waxes. And lastly, a high quality fragrance oil is made in a similar way a good perfume or a cologne is made with almost similar ingredients (although not exactly the same since both are designed for different purposes) so if perfume and cologne is safe to use them it's safe for candles as well.
