This ripped my heart out but was so lovely and masterful that I can't even complain. Part of her died with Francis. She hasn't been the same since.

I like the comparison of the two wedding scenes. At her marriage to Darnley Mary looks very serious almost sad, but at her marriage to Francis she is beaming.

It was very sad,, and yet, I think that Mary was doing her best to be wise in taking this sheet head as a hubby. Poor Mary - this guy seemed like a great choice as a spouse, but he turned out to be a monster. We should re-write the history books to say that her choice was as good as she and her advisors could choose, but that Darnley was a fake and a traitor. If only Fate could have been kinder to Mary and Bothwell.....

Bothwell wasn’t much better in regards to history, lots of speculation about that relationship. I would say that Mary was extremely unlucky in her last two relationships

MakeStronger3 I KNOW RIGHT? According to the real story, Mary married twice after Francis, and it seems as reign is following what really happens. It's still a good show, but she will never love anyone the way she loved Francis. She said it herself... Darnley doesn't deserve her and she is very unhappy with him. I'm hopping when she dies, she reunites with Francis... I'm talking too much, sorry hahahaha. Thank you for your words, it means so much to me since I've been admiring your edits a long time. 💖

She reunites with somebody in the afterlife/heaven. Adelaide posted the pic, caption "last look at Mary" I always wondered if that was Francis or Bothwell, grip camera angle so tricky. 🤔

Come back to me, Frary. I think they want us , the viewers to come away from that scene, with our own answers. Mary dressed all in white, she looks like an 😇 angel. Her eyes closed , peacefully resting on a man's chest. Sighs....... 😔 Since two alternate endings were written, one a season finale , and one series finale, they went with the series finale. I' m glad the writers thought ahead, and were prepared. The CW brass only gave them 10 days before production wrap. All this according to Adelaide's interviews.

It’s horribly sad how she went from Queen of France and Scotland and the legitimate Catholic Queen of England and Ireland and by extension Wales to a widow three times over and a mother who is forced to give up her child and later executed.

Nobody really knows, most Royal marriages were not for love but for political reasons. For all we know, Francis and Mary could've only married for political reasons and never truly loved each other but in the show they loved each other because... the show would've been boring if the marriage was only out of political interest.
