Steven’s losing himself to his sadness and trauma, and it’s something I can relate heavily to. He’s taking his anger out on the ones who gave it to him, he’s becoming something he can’t control. The others aren’t the monster anymore. *He* is. And he doesn’t want to be. He’s scaring himself, and he’s scaring others. And now he has nowhere to go, Can we just.. give this poor kid a break? I wish so badly I could hug him right now.

That "too bad" sent chills down my spine. Very good writing. Am I the only one that wishes Steven had gone through with shattering White? villain Steven would be such a fascinating concept.

I just noticed while rewatching the show that Steven has been starting to feel very different since early on in the show. At the end of episode 12 of season 2 Greg said to Connie that if she ever needs a human to talk to she can always come to him. But Steven was left out in that situation... he just touched his gem and quietly said “human” (if I remember correctly).

Lmao Steven is so done with everyone's shit and honestly, I don't blame him.

Diamonds are becoming more like young Steven whereas Steven is becoming more like pre-steven diamonds

I really think the plot for SU future could have really been written differently and much better. My version could have been something like this: All that trauma and stress puts Steven into a really dark depression that he hides from everyone else. As he tries to keep helping people, he gets even more depressed. When he has those 'pink out' things, instead of pink, it would be a black color. It wouldn't be visible to everyone else, as he would look normal, but his gem would glow faintly. For Steven however, his color receptors stop working, and only white light is viewed. Kind of like black and white television. Of course, Steven hides this, like he *tries* in SU, but this times he's successful with it, and plays it off as some sort of PTSD. This is the point of which everyone starts to become wary of him. Episodes continue, similar to how SU future actually plays out. However the jasper and the forest bit is delayed as a finale part one bit. The Hospital episode. This is where shit hits the fan. And is also the episode that is prior to the finale. Episode plays similar, but with the black n white bits instead of pink. And all that stress coming back after Connie's mom brings up prior trauma, finally breaks Steven. His PTSD and depression finally unleashes, and he runs out on a fit of quote unhealthy emotions. End of episode. Finale begins. He makes it to the forest, where he comes across Jasper. Jasper being Jasper starts calling him weak as Steven is still in a fit, and this angers Steven. Jasper however did this on purpose to try and get Steven to fight her, and to possibly get Steven to learn how to fight better. Kinda like the original episode. However with Steven being in a fit still, he quickly loses. Jasper offers to train him. He agrees. Training montoge begins. These blackouts starts giving him new powers similar to SU-F, except instead of a very bright pink, it's a very dark halfway to black pink. These powers also are strengthened as Steven gets stronger with the physical training. Back in the city, everyone is searching for Steven, as he had been missing for days. Basic conversations about looking for Steven and concerns for him are shown. The Crystal Jem's are vital to their search, and are looking everywhere for him. Little did they know he was much closer than they suspected. Training over, Final fight scene begins. I'm not going into detail with the fight scene, but it plays similar. Steven beats the shit out of jasper, but instead of shattering, Jasper becomes cracked badly. Steven, immediately regrets what he did, and becomes very scared. He runs away without thinking. Dramatic music playing, n such, and it becomes dark out and rainy, symbolizing the final turning point. Steven find a cave. He enters. He falls down. He passes out. An hour later, he wakes up in a cold and painful state. He leans up against the cave wall. He begins to sob to himself quietly. Here's the moment you've all been waiting for. As he sits there, his Diamond, darkens till it becomes a near pitch black. Steven becomes, The Black Diamond. End finale pt1 Finale pt2: Steven doesn't wake up. Something else wakes up. It is Steven but it isnt. Remember that pink thing that looks like Steven but it isn't? Yeah well picture that Steven but it's void black. Except it merely is possessing the body of Steven. Only emitting a black aura around him. This Steven, is the collection of stress, anger and PTSD. Fueled only by hate, and rage. The only goal is to get revenge on everything that's responsible for him. It marches on out of the woods. A hateful but still somehow emotionless look on its recreation of Stevens face. The first thing it sees when it reaches Beach City. People. People staring at it. It continues down into town with the gazes of the townspeople untill it reaches Little Homeworld. It thinks it's time to get started on it's mission. It's mission to take revenge against the things that have made him suffer. The power it posseses, and the strength of the thing it possess will prove to be unbeatable. It's time for the Black Diamond to leave nothing but void. That's it for this one. Thanks for reading my new su-f plot. I think this would have been an absolutely bad ass, and would have been a much better representation of the negligence, abuse, and trauma Steven has had to suffer. There's a reason why White was so fucking horrified. You saw it. I saw it. That Kaiju thing was completely un needed. The Black Diamond is not only an actual thing so it would make sense, but it would also be the perfect representation of Stevens suffering. Pink Steven but pitch black and white literally fueled only by the hate gathered from his experiences? That would have been so much better.
