This drama is realistic in regards of how the “bad boy” fantasy works. You can see jae eon fits it perfectly. He is toxic and even na bi realized it but she cannot resist him because of their attraction. I feel the reason why girls fall for him even though they know he will play them is because they wish that they can “change” him and his ways. This is how most of the toxic relationships work. Here, jae eon is such a good manipulator that he will play with your emotions so easily you will not even realise it. If they dont end up together and are not romanticised then this is will 10/10 in my opinion but if they do then this will go down as one of the worst portrayal of toxic relationships.
Omg this is so true. 👍 Been there and done that. You literally loose yourself because you believe that you can change them. But in the end, you realize you never will. Never force anything, if it's not meant to be.
Me too! I really hope they will follow the webtoon realistic ending and help people realize this kind of relationship have just one possibile ending.. And it's a broken heart. I'm sick of idealized toxic relationships with the bad guy who changes in the end for her.. This is not gonna happen in real life.. Be aware of it, there's no shame in playing his same game but keep enough self-love not to be fooled and become pathetic as she is doing
I am going to be optimistic in hopes that they actually show how toxic of a relationship this was to begin with. I’m a sucker for romance and all but yea… lately this type of what most viewers presume as “love” is not typically how it all plays out in reality. i truly truly hope that this is not going to be another idealized “romantic” relationship because as much as i like happy endings, young viewers who are easily influenced and most likely not educated in this type of things shouldn’t be exposed to conclude that manipulation and control due to attraction and lust is equated to love! because it is not, and unfortunately a lot of entertainment industries are really selling this idealized relationships as it is and it really isn’t healthy :(

@@rosaeleonoramarino2565 the webtoon lacked a lot of things but at least their ending was realistic. I hope the drama implores this relationship more and show the audience what is healthy relationships and what is toxic. Its A shame there are limited healthy couples and unlimited toxic one.
Next episode there will be so many 19+ scenes. Probably at the end Nabi will say end whatever that is. He will change at the next episodes and will have a gf.
I really like song kang's acting.. he plays the playboy perfectly.. the way he treats her as a predator would treat a prey... the joy of the kill is so evident when she kissed him and he was going towards her... the fact that yu na bi tries to keep her defense mode on for so long, resisting his charms, and the constant push and pull between them, makes him even more interested in her. The desire to possess her becomes stronger in him because of this. This drama really shows toxic relationships so accurately.
gosh! these two are boiling hot on screen! their chemistry is overflowing and it's so painful to wait for the next episode coz it means you have to wait for another week!

Idfk what I should feel about this. On one hand this relationship is toxic af but, on the other hand I want them to be together. If Jae eon changes then they will be together but if he doesn't there will be a new male lead like in love alarm. Ugh, I hate this feeling.

I already love this drama so much, just becauss the atmosphere is so different from ever other kdrama i've ever seen. It's just so calm and relaxing to watch and it seems so realistic does anyone know kdramas that have a similar atmosphere to nevertheless?
hopefully not cause then it teaches viewers that they can change the toxic person they are with when 99% of the time that won’t happen and they will only end up 2x hurt.

I agree with you 100%. Their “relationship” is toxic but Jae eon himself isn’t toxic. She knows he flirts with other girls and still wants to go ahead with the relationship (especially when she wiped another girls lipstick off his lips then proceeded to kiss him!) Besides he has told her what he’s looking for which is like fwb but she hasn’t told him she’s looking for a relationship. They are just two humans with different goals which makes the relationship toxic but individually they’re not. What they need is communication

oh my god finally someone whom i can relate with , jae eon isn't toxic he just doesn't believe in love or should i say doesn't want to believe in it , he was clear from the start about what he wanted and did what he thought was right , people shouldn't fall in love with a person if they think they are special and will change them , nobody can change someone unless they want to , you will get hurt if you really believe that , even though we get to know very little about jae eon's thoughts and you can realize his ideologies and belief in that short period of time about his insecurities regarding relationship where he quote thinks about things becoming meaningless when they become certain but i do wish we had gotten to know more about his side of story and a bit more of character development for both him and nabi , maybe a time skip where they return to Korea nabi from paris and jae eon from the US. Edit : i didn't wanted Na bi to choose Do hyeok and here's why because Do hyeok is too pure and innocent , he gave his best towards anything that was related to Na bi but Na bi did not do the same thing for him and also she also thought that he is too good for her while she has lost that pureness that do hyeok has ( not throwing shades towards na bi ) ,even if they did got together , the constant paranoia , unsureness about their relationship , unresolved issues would've led to both of them becoming more and more exhausted with each other's presence , I'm also not saying that this happens all the time but if you watched the drama then you'll realise that na bi was projecting her issues that were a result of her first relationship later on in the drama , like constantly analysing other person's actions and words and yada yada , i would've preferred if they streched the drama a bit and give more definition to the characters and also show us Jae eon's pov a bit more , and maybe break them up for a while let them heal and then get back together idk , but it's better that they hurt each other than other innocent people, just my opinion 💀.
