This is my take on the funeral one ima have to say a funeral of a loved one is more important then a wedding if a loved one

And I’d say the passing of a dear loved on is more important since I’m my eyes, when you go to a funeral your basically letting the soul free itself so it’s allowed to move on, your basically saying farewell my friend. While a wedding is just seeing two people get married, sure it’s a special Occasion but it’s not as special or deep as losing someone close to you.

Story 1: you are child free and he's knows that. While I do the girls are innocent in this but he crossed your number one boundary. Nta Story 2: nta. I agree with what you said. Story 3: nta. Yes she has the right to have her perfect wedding, but like you said you have the right to not compromise your health. Story 4: nta. You're wrong for choosing to go to a close friend's funeral over your sil's wedding? Not at all Story 5: couple's therapy or divorce, although with him not caring about your feelings on this I'd just go for divorce

I have to disagree with you on story 2, op had no right to say that. Dealing with kids is hard, especially if you're literally new to being a full time parent after you were originally working. And coming from personal experience with my stepdad, he used to work full time but stayed home while my mom worked, my parents ended up switching since I did have medical problems and he didn't want to possibly mess up. And I was by no means an easy child either.

Personally i think its more important to go to a wedding than funeral because the dead person doesn't know whether you're there or not, the one's getting married do
