Tribute to Jetlag Warriors I don't know where to begin, you came into our life like a breath of fresh air. From when you landed on a hazy, cold , February morning, the lady at the airport money exchange taught you your first Urdu words, shukriya and mirchoon wala nahi (not too spicy), she served you your first pakistani chai and even gave you free headphones lol. From the time when Steve swallowed all the flavour enhancers in his biryani plate and to when he mispronounced boti as bowtie and had tonnes of firni, to the point that it upset his stomach. From the time when Ivana tried to make biryani but your helper completely took over the task and it ended up being delicious and from the time when you went to Paris and climbed the Eiffel tower just an hour drive from where you were staying in Lahore.From when you went to the Wagah border and Ivana said she feels patriotic even though she's not Pakistani (little did she know that she's one of us).From the time when you went to the Golra railway station ( my favourite vlog ) and also bought an 1800 year old coin from an antique shop. From when Steve the Pindi boy paid a visit to his motherland, Rawalpindi and played cricket with children and swallowed a paan with 30 ingredients in one go. All those beautiful and nostalgic memories is what made your trip to Pakistan so special and incredible. I'm writing this with a heavy heart, my two family members are going away but also with a proud feeling , that the human connection is so powerful. You have been my companion and my place of comfort everyday since February. I hope you leave Pakistan with best of memories and take with you the message that we Pakistanis are peace loving people with Big hearts. We will miss you and will wait for you. ❤
I know how the Pakistanis are feeling right now. We Malaysians felt the same when they left Malaysia. The only consolation was when they promised to visit again after the pandemic. The only way to keep them in our hearts is to follow their journey, wherever it may be. 🥰 Stay safe guys. 👫
