Today we are going to take a look at how we can create and edit Microsoft Teams meetings from Power Apps.
Since I am currently working on an App that requires this functionality, I was searching on solutions and found Shane Young´s Video on how to create a Microsoft Teams Meeting from Power Apps and Power Automate: • Create Teams meeting l...
Unfortunately for me he just shows how to create a meeting, but not how to edit one. So I did some research and found out that you cannot edit a meeting with the Microsoft Teams connector, but with the Outlook365 connector you can.

Hey, awesome video. Thanks for sharing. Right at the end you talk about adding logic to the save button to use it for saving new meetings and updating existing ones when working with a SharePoint List. Please could you share the code to do that? It's exactly my use case.

Hey Enea! Thank you for taking the time to make a video which is very much needed for people like me. However, I am trying to pretty much the same as what you have done but I get an error thrown saying "Office365Outlook.V4CalendarPatchItem failed: { "status": 400, "message": "Modified occurrence is crossing or overlapping adjacent occurrence.". I understand we have many meetings overlapping each other but in teams it works but when I try rescheduling it here, I get this error. Do you by any chance know how to override the overlapping error? Thanks in advance!

I have an app that creates a meeting (a training session created by a trainer). I want delegates to be able to book on to these training events. Is there a way to update an exiting meeting to add new participants?

You can use a patch function and save it wherever you like or if you are using a SharePoint form then with submit form

isTeamsMeeting is not available for V4CalendarPatchItem. Thus teams meeting will disappear when editing the existing meeting

Hi Enea, thanks for the video. I have an issue with Teams meeting; I would like to add a Location but it only takes "Records" rather than Text. Not sure how I can resolve this. If you have an idea, that would be greatly appreciated

If it requires a record for locations is because it is expecting a key:value pair. Something like {ID: 1, Value: Seattle} or {ID: 2, Value: Washington}. I don’t know the exact syntax and I don’t know if it is correct that it requires a record. Hello Enea seems once we update Team meeting with outlook connector it will lost of Online team component Like team meeting Url in body and all. it completely removes the online component of the meeting. any idea on this

Probably when you update the meeting, you turn the “isTeamsMeeting” property to false. Check that

I was pretty sure there was one, sorry. I couldnt find anything else, try recreating the patch function, since useally the Teams Meeting link is in the body of the invitation, maybe you are sending something in the body that removes the link?

Any idea why the meeting body disappears? My Teams Join and body of a Teams meeting disappeared.

@@Enea When I edit my form and submit, the v4calendarpatch removes the Teams body join details. All I'm left with is an updated Outlook/Teams event without a way to join the meeting. I didn't add the squiggly brackets or any content inside. Let me add it and see if it keeps all default items from the meeting. Maybe not including the { } clears all details of meeting details.

Really odd. The V4CalendarPatch function updates and adjusts for title, date, start/end times, but it removes the entire body of the calendar body converting it from a Teams meeting to a blank. The meeting was created using MicrosoftTeams.CreateTeamsMeeting function using another button on another screen. Any ideas?@@Enea

I noticed the Teams body with Join and HTML get updated, but soon after disappears and I see a 'false' message in the body of the calendar. I'm moving this now to allow Power Automate to do what I need. I think there is a bug.
