Correct. You see how everything has been inverted. 2:48 Earth shattering. Absolutely earth shattering. The biggest bullies (the most damaged (doing evil, most of them without awareness) people) are the ones who are the most well adjusted to the society. “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” - Jiddu Krishnamurti Absolutely. The problem is this is normalized and they believe they are actually doing good. In fact, this is the most evil segment of society. Krishnamurti used to call them “ordinary people” and warned not to become like them. The inversion of the truth.
If we think of diet as everything we consume, even mentaly, and I also misread your comment: ;Any diet which ends will power is doomed to fail. How about that?
I can tell you something, please take my word: as far as I kept it simple with my awakening and great in faith (i.e. faith was greater than ego) there was no will, and life happened. As soon as I put will into the spiritual process there was desire too, a sense of waiting, reaching, the thing became a kind of project: you become ungrounded, isolated, mind gets stronger, pain grows, faith lowers, the ability to surrender drops. The more will you put, the more you think you are a somebody because the will always has an object, you always act in separation when you put will: whether you are separate from the result, or from an object, or what simply is, and while you think your doing is beneficial for the process, you are only detaching from what is, that is Life, God's will. Your pain growing, you'll put in even more will, feeling more and more constricted, less and less grounded and part of the natural liveliness that is in you, your sensitivity diminuishes because you're constantly busy organising your attention, your will, your pain. This is mind 100%. The heart has pull, not will. It is very interesting to notice how different paths converge into the same observation: Nisargadatta points out "forget you are the one making choices", Ramana Maharishi said "you are not the doer", a Christian mystic said: "If you want to be happy, take off your will".
It can be tricky truly, since one being identified with mind will say "fine but how do I stop willing?" "What do I do for that?" ... I wonder if there is an answer that may satisfy that question. Some will say "how do you stop holding an object with your hand? You simply let it go, don't you?". Would you say it's the same with Will?
@@nicolasnake9819 As a matter of fact it was not me to stop the will: I found myself not having it anymore, no personal will. At the same time great faith in the divine was filling the heart and was so sweet no other will could compete. As self doubt came in, faith decreased and the ego and personal "I" grew again. I think to break the will it takes two things: observation and faith. If you relinquish all psychology and stick to what is, you will soon see that the best will is not to have will. You are right, it should be enough to open the hand, but I consider the will to leave will a surrender to Life, whose wisdom is greater than ours. If you think you are greater than life, then push, you'll gain a lot. But not freedom. (These lines also refer to me)
Na Karta, Na Bhokta. You are not the karta, the doer. You are not the Bhokta, the enjoyer or the sufferer. Why? Because you are not the body or the mind. The mind will have will, the body will follow. But you remain, as, to use JK term "Choiceless Awareness" or to use Advaita Vedanta "Chit rooposi" - consciousness itself. Faith or God's will is Bhakti path. The Jnana path is "I am he" or just "I am". Note that Jnana also has a word called Shraddha / Faith which is faith in the Shruti or scriptures or words of saints. Eckhart calls this "Presence" or "Spaciousness" where the person operates but the presence shines through the person.
I think you are right about Will, to desire is focused. Which in turn could mean, ridged. Remove desire, and go with the flow, brings a whole new meaning to: Blend In. After all, everything is in flux. All in all, and all in All.
Here are the teachings of the Buddha, the Yogasutras of Patanjali and orher teachings ... Desire is the root of suffering. Desire means identification and attachment. You cannot be free by wishing or wanting, except by wanting to get to the ultimate truth.
@@pierreetbarbaraguegnault1299 Buddha left his home because he wanted to find the ultimate truth. Krishnamurti began to inquire because he wanted to find the ultimate truth. Why are you watching this video?
Only 3 comments for this extraordinary commentary? Damn... everyone must have gone deaf and blind. This Krishnamurti commentary is out of the park, over the lights [and the scoreboard] and across the street with bases loaded. What a winner!!! Thanks LOADS, for posting this! ✨🥴👍✨
@@flourlesscake3143 Thanks flourless...! In this short video, Krishnamurti addresses an aspect of something extremely important to understanding Absolute Truth, and that is will, which is desire, the compelling force of existing, of Being Itself. "Bordeom" and "monotony" are merely other labels for addictive cravings to experiencing appearances/objects that lead →away from Absolute Truth (i.e., "The Pathless Path"). Thanks again and Keep on keepin' on! ✨❤️🥴👍✨
I get it, and yet I felt as though I wish I was a very willful person. I have always admired willful people (so long as they were not obnoxiously so) J Krishnamurti is obviously exerting energy to deliver this speech, but in the context in which he is talking about will, his speech may be somewhat effortless. He is listening so attentively to his senses, surrendering his will to them, that his actions are much better informed, and so, his Yin and Yang are in better harmony. Not like a Yang that is trying to do things in spite of the Yin.
It is so easy to assume you get it just because you understand his words, to mistake intellectual knowledge for real, personal, experiential knowledge. But that comes undone and is exposed by living life and watching what you actually do, not what you think you do. I say 'you' I mean myself.
He was celebrated because of his English like many modern so called swamis or bhagwan. As said in Shrimad bhagwat kaliyuga many pakhandis will rise and misguide people by false knowledge or sweet language. Hari Om tat sat 🙏🏼
Whether there is a holistic movement which means what ? There is no holistic movement now . Lets see this movement very closely . This line came after the previous line but there was a pause between the two lines however small or big that pause was. Its still part of that movement. If you read this whole thing in totality , you see the whole and not dwelling on any part. This is what could be termed as a flow.
I like K but also think that he lacks something when talking about religion, which is the purpose of uniting people into a comsology, which unites people and was and still is useful for a lot of people. On the otherhand, he said that it is possible to see the truth in religion
Will, according to the dictionary: noun the faculty of conscious and deliberate action; the power of control the mind has over one's actions: The teacher has chosen by her own will to create a whole new curriculum. power in choosing one's own actions: A major factor in success is whether you have have a strong or a weak will. I would risk saying life without it is depression. What can happen is inner conflict or not. In other words, with too much conflict, will gets distorted. For instance: to take drugs, overeating, etc. or to practice physical activity? The matter might not be about will, but about inner conflict distorting will, which renders the question: how to keep will from being distorted by inner conflict? Given inner conflict has roots on the externalities - people, institutions, self-image, etc. -, it is certain to occur.
It takes a lot of 'action of will' to examine life. Why throw the baby out with the bathwater? Any aspect of any concept can be used for any direction we choose; 'will' is just that.
just by asking the question 'can we be free of fear' a clearing and lightness can be felt right away... giving yourself permission instead of waiting for another to do so.
