Change the name, this isnt an “original pmv” as the actual song was already used as an animation meme and this is not the original of that. If you say “oh its different its a pmv” then youre still wrong, the thing that differs some animation memes from others is the music, not the contents inside or what its labelled as, the words “animation meme” refer to every animation concept, pmv, amv , the list goes on. But to call it your original meme and not credit the actual person who made it before you is grossly offensive and sick.

What makes this even sadder is that this scarred Sorreltail for life, I don’t remember where but I read that she would sometimes get dreams of this, even into adulthood.
one time in the books leafpool went herb gathering with sorreltail. leafpool stumbled into a death berry bush and sorreltail was very concerned and terrorfied
Poor sorrelkit... I remember there was a scene where leafpaw and sorreltail where out.. hunting I think? And leafpaw accidently tumbled into death berries. Sorreltail was very concerned for leafpaw. I feel like all people remember where tigerstar and how terrible of a cat he was, but no one ever remembers darkstripe automatically when you remind them of the treacherous acts of the evil cats in arc 1. It's really good to see an animation of this, since (at least for me) darkstripe was a character that seemed to be there and be gone, and that was it. It's also super chilling to see darkstripe covering sorrelkits mouth, and then seeing cinderpelt hunched over sorrelkit and desperately trying to keep her alive.
“I was coming back to camp, I found the stupid kit stuffing herself with deathberries, and i was trying to stop her when this IDIOT jumped on me” -darkstripe
Your style is amazing! I’m glad you focused on this scene, it’s actually quite disturbing how Darkstripe would poison a kit just for walking in on him and Blackfoot. Great job!!
Chapter 8 The snow had stopped by the time Firestar and Bramblepaw returned to camp. The clouds had cleared away and the setting sun cast long blue shadows over the thin coating of white that powdered the ground. Both cats were carrying fresh-kill; Firestar had watched his apprentice's hunting skills and been impressed by the young cat's concentration and skillful stalking. They had just reached the top of the ravine when they heard a yowl behind them. Firestar turned to see Graystripe bounding through the undergrowth. "Hi," panted the gray warrior as he caught up with them. His eyes widened when he saw their catch. "You've had better luck than me. I couldn't find so much as a mouse." Firestar grunted sympathetically as he led the way toward the gorse tunnel. He noticed that Sorrelkit, the most adventurous of Willowpelt's three kits, had left the camp and climbed halfway up the steep slope farther along the ravine. To Firestar's surprise, she was with Darkstripe; the warrior was bending over her, saying something to her. "Odd," Firestar muttered through a mouthful of squirrel fur, half to himself. "Darkstripe has never shown much interest in kits before. And what's he doing out here on his own?" Suddenly Firestar heard a sharp exclamation from Graystripe and his friend flashed past him, hurtling along the side of the ravine, his paws scrabbling against the loose snow-covered stones. At the same moment Sorrelkit's legs crumpled underneath her sturdy tortoiseshell body and she started writhing in the snow. Firestar dropped his fresh-kill in amazement as Graystripe yowled, "No!" and flung himself on the dark warrior. Darkstripe clawed and flailed at him with his hind legs, but Graystripe's teeth were sunk in his throat and would not let go. "What-?" Firestar dashed down the slope with Bramblepaw right behind him. He dodged the fighting cats, still locked together in a whirlwind of teeth and claws, and reached Sorrelkit's side. The little kit twisted and turned on the ground, her eyes wide and glazed. She was letting out high-pitched moans of pain, and there was foam on her lips. "Get Cinderpelt!" Firestar ordered Bramblepaw. His apprentice shot off, his paws sending up puffs of snow. Firestar bent over the young kit and placed a paw gently on her belly. "It's all right," he murmured. "Cinderpelt is coming." Sorrelkit's jaws gaped wide and Firestar caught a glimpse of half-chewed berries in her mouth, scarlet against her white teeth. "Deathberries!" He gasped. There was a dark-leaved shrub growing from a crack in the rock just above his head, with more of the lethal scarlet berries clustered among the leaves. He remembered a time many moons ago when Cinderpelt had appeared just in time to stop Cloudtail from eating the deathberries, and warned him of how poisonous they were. Later, Yellowfang had used them to kill her son, Brokentail; Firestar had seen for himself how quickly and fatally they worked. Crouching over Sorrelkit, Firestar did his best to scoop the crushed berries out of her mouth, but the kit was in too much terror and pain to keep still and make his task easier. Her head thrashed from side to side, and her body was convulsing in regular spasms that to Firestar's horror seemed to be growing weaker. He could still hear Graystripe and Darkstripe screeching in the throes of their fight, but they seemed oddly far away. All his attention was concentrated on the kit. Then to his relief he felt Cinderpelt arrive beside him. "Deathberries!" he told her quickly. "I've tried to get them out, but..." Cinderpelt took his place by the kit's side. She had a bundle of leaves in her mouth; setting them down, she mewed, "Good. Keep holding her, Firestar, while I take a look." With two of them to help, and the kit's struggles definitely growing weaker, Cinderpelt was soon able to paw out the remains of the deathberries. Then she rapidly chewed up one of her leaves and stuffed the pulp into Sorrelkit's mouth. "Swallow it," she ordered. To Firestar she added, "It's yarrow. It'll make her sick." The kit's throat convulsed. A moment later she vomited; Firestar could see more scarlet specks among the pulp of leaves. "Good," Cinderpelt mewed soothingly. "That's very good. You're going to be fine, Sorrelkit." The little kit lay gasping and trembling; then Firestar watched in dismay as she went limp and her eyes closed. "Is she dead?" he whispered. Before Cinderpelt could reply, a yowl came from the entrance to the camp. "My kit! Where's my kit?" It was Willowpelt, racing up the ravine with Bramblepaw. She crouched beside Sorrelkit, her blue eyes wide and distraught. "What happened?" "She ate deathberries," Cinderpelt explained. "But I think I've gotten rid of them all. We'll carry her back to my den and I'll keep an eye on her." Willowpelt began licking Sorrelkit's tortoiseshell fur. By now Firestar had seen the faint rise and fall of the kit's flank as she breathed. She was not dead, but he could see from Cinderpelt's anxious look that she was still in danger from the effects of the poison. For the first time Firestar had a chance to draw breath and look for Graystripe. The gray warrior had pinned Darkstripe down a few tail lengths away with one paw on his neck and another on his belly. Darkstripe was bleeding from one ear, and he spat in fury as he fought vainly to free himself. "What's going on?" Firestar demanded. "Don't ask me," snarled Graystripe. Firestar could hardly remember seeing his friend look so savage. "Ask this ... this piece of fox dung why he tried to murder a kit!" "Murder?" Firestar echoed. The accusation was so unexpected that for a heartbeat he could do nothing but stare stupidly. "Murder," repeated Graystripe. "Go on, ask him why he was feeding deathberries to Sorrelkit." "You mouse-brained fool." Darkstripe's voice was cold as he gazed up at his attacker. "I wasn't feeding her the berries. I was trying to stop her from eating them." "I know what I saw," Graystripe insisted through gritted teeth. Firestar tried to recall the image of the warrior and the kit that he had seen when he paused at the top of the ravine. "Let him get up," he meowed reluctantly to his friend. "Darkstripe, tell me what happened."The warrior rose and shook himself. Firestar could see bare patches on his flank where Graystripe had clawed out lumps of fur. "I was coming back to camp," he began. "I found the stupid kit stuffing herself with deathberries, and I was trying to stop her when this idiot jumped on me." He stared resentfully at Graystripe. "Why would I want to murder a kit?" "That's what I want to know!" spat Graystripe. "Of course, we know who the noble Firestar will believe!" Darkstripe sneered. "There's no use expecting justice in ThunderClan these days." The accusation stung Firestar, all the more so because he recognized that there was a core of truth in it. He would take Graystripe's word over Darkstripe's any day, but he had to be absolutely certain that his friend wasn't making a mistake. "I don't have to decide now," Firestar meowed. "As soon as Sorrelkit wakes up, she'll be able to tell us what happened." As he spoke he thought he saw a flicker of unease in Darkstripe's eyes, but it was gone so quickly he could not be sure. The dark warrior twitched his ears contemptuously. "Fine," he meowed. "Then you'll see which of us is telling the truth." He stalked off toward the camp entrance with tail held high. "I did see it, Firestar," Graystripe assured him, his sides heaving from the fight. "I can't understand why he'd want to hurt Sorrelkit, but I'm quite sure that's what he was doing." Firestar sighed. "I believe you, but we have to let every cat see that justice is done. I can't punish Darkstripe until Sorrelkit tells us what happened." If she ever does, he added silently to himself. He watched Cinderpelt and Willowpelt gently picking up the kit and carrying her toward the gorse tunnel. Sorrelkit's head lolled limply and her tail brushed the ground. Firestar's belly clenched as he remembered the kit bouncing around the camp. If Darkstripe had really tried to kill her, he would pay. "Graystripe," he murmured, "go with Cinderpelt. I want you or another warrior on guard in her den until Sorrelkit wakes up. Ask Sandstorm and Goldenflower if they'll help. I don't want anything else to happen to Sorrelkit before she's fit to talk." Graystripe's eyes gleamed with understanding. "Okay, Firestar," he meowed. "I'm on my way." He bounded down the slope and caught up with the other cats as they disappeared into the tunnel. Firestar I was left in the ravine with Bramblepaw. "I've left a squirrel up there," he meowed to his apprentice, jerking his head toward the top of the ravine. "Could you collect it for me, please? And then you can rest and eat. You've had a long day." "Thanks," Bramblepaw mewed. He took a few steps up the ravine and glanced back. "Sorrelkit will be okay, won't she?" Firestar let out a long breath. "I don't know, Bramblepaw," he admitted. "I just don't know."
I like him because he's just so pathetic as a villain. You don't have to like only good characters, you can like bad guys too. Nobody likes Ashfur as a character for instance but many (including me) love him as a villain.
Incredible! Your style is so unique :0 also, this scene is so dark if you really think about it. Sorrelkit walking in on Blackfoot and Darkstripe and Dark then feeding Sorrel death berries for it, I swear in the books Sorrelkit told someone Darkstripe fed her the berries to ‘praise’ her, I’m not entirely sure, but it’s such a dark scene
@@antlercatler Wasn't such a reward after all, huh? I bet Sorrelkit, if she survived or not( i don't remember ) never snook up on somone ever after that...
I've always wondered how Blackstar felt about this scene. Did he feel bad for Sorrelkit in that moment? Did he want to stop Darkstripe? I've never seen a animation for this scene, and I've never really seen anyone wonder about Blackstar's reaction. I mean, he witnessed a fully grow cat manipulate and attempt to poison a kit, wouldn't he have a reaction?
Blackstar never saw the poisoning. I believe Darkstripe poisoned Sorrelkit on his way back to camp/just outside the camp. It happened after Darkstripe met Blackstar.
I feel pretty bad for Sorreltail not going to lie. First, she gets poisoned by Darkstripe and nearly dies, then her father is killed by BloodClan, her mother is killed by a badger(both of which happened when she was a young apprentice), she got hit by a car, delaying her warrior ceremony for well over a moon, neither of her brothers live to power of three nor does her only son, her brother in law(Thornclaw) turns out to be training in the dark forest, she kits her second litter out alone in the forest because she was on a walk when she went into labor and there was nobody near to hear her calls for help(except Dovewing obviously), and then she dies after the battle of the dark forest because she didn't want to inconvenience her clanmates with her injuries.
@@twist_ending7545 It’s not on screen, but in the first book of TNP it’s mentioned that she was injured by a monster so her warrior assessment was pushed back.
Yessss this scene stuck out to me so much when I was reading it, and has still stuck with me today. Sorreltail really seemed to take a back seat to the action in the later books but I've always had my eyes trained on her, to see if the traumas of her childhood would affect how she acts in the present. Who would try to poison a child???
Is Darkstripe covering Sorrelkit’s mouth him trying to stop her from spitting out the deathberries or a nod to why he poisoned her in the first place (to keep her quiet)? Either way, WAA this is so good, your set style is phenomenal and and your tweening is great dhdindjsnk
Yeah, it's a way to keep her quiet. Basically, what happened in the book is that Sorreltail walked up to Darkstripe and a cat of another clan who were meeting in secret. So Darkstripe fed her deathberries to keep her from giving their forbidden secret from being spread around.
POOR BABY SORRELKIT- I forgot about what he had done 😭 You did amazing with everything and the expressions were my favorite however Blackstripe I feel like could’ve been a better cat without Tigerstar 😭🤚🏽
Sorrel kits expression when she walks up is just like a child’s when they see something going on and they are curious it just makes it more unsettling and I love it
I've re watched this multiple times and the way Darkstripe covered Sorrelkits mouth is honestly haunting, including the fact he is her older brother, this song fits him.
I love how small you made Sorrelpaw (Tail). It just proves how small apprentices are, and there not just about-to-be warriors who are ready for everything and know every trick in the book, but still kits who can be easily tricked.
ive waches this over and over and over again and ive got to leave a comment. your animation style is absolutely incredible, the way you display emotions and fear, everything is so on point. this scene truly displays darkstripe’s terribleness, and loyalty to tigerstar and blackfoot. when sorrelkit follows him, he doesn’t want anyone to know, so instead of tricking the kit into saying something else, he POISONS her? darkstripe truly is evil, and the way graystripe is the most furious-being his half-brother- shows even more how angry and disappointed they are in him.
The way her wide eyes are just looking at Dark’stripe is haunting. So innocent so easily tricked as she looked at Dark’stripes deceiving eyes as she stares in horror with him intending to kill her. An innocent kit was stripped by almost dying. Her blank stare…
'Sorrelkit clambered over a small ditch, with a patch of nettle in. Wow! The world was huge! Willowpelt had made it seem like the world was tiny, but it wasn't! Willowpelt. Sorrelkit's mother, she would be so impressed! Sorrelkit had snuck out of camp while Rainkit and Sootkit were busy playing moss ball. She couldn't wait to be an apprentice. Suddenly, she halted. Darkstripe was walking cautiously across the land. He kept looking back every now and again, his yellow eyes glinting with caution. Sorrelkit was confused. Should she follow him? *Yes* she told herself silently. She followed the warrior across a stream, there were so many smells! Primroses and mint were strong on each side, the smell of minnows as they leaped through the fresh stream. And...Pine? Pine was only near the pine forest, where ShadowClan lived. Why was Darkstripe by the ShadowClan border? Maybe Firestar had sent him on a top secret mission! To spy on ShadowClan! Sorrelkit began glowing with excitement. *She* could help him! Rainkit and Sootkit would be so jealous when Sorrelkit told them about how she had helped Darkstripe on a secret mission! She halted behind a huge branch by a small pool, she scooted herself up it and watched Darkstripe. He was sitting by the pine forest, with another cat. He was a huge, white tom with bigger front paws, which were both black. Sorrelkit couldn't tell from her distance, but she thought the white tom might have six toes on each paw. She admired his huge black paws. They were bigger then her whole body! "Darkstripe, I hope you have a good reason to drag me out here today. I should be back at camp, helping Tigerstar!" Snarled the tom, his yellow eyes glinting angrily. "Trust me, Blackfoot. I have very good reason." Darkstripe said in his malicious voice. They then began to mumble something Sorrelkit couldn't hear. She was beginning to get nervous. This didn't *seem* like a secret mission. Horror struck through her body. Was Darkstripe a traitor!? If yes, she had to get out of here and tell Firestar. She scampered down the branch, quite loudly. She looked back just in time to see Darkstripe staring angrily into the bush where she had disappeared. Sorrelkit pushed past the leaves and brambles, desperate to get to the camp. Suddenly, as she tripped down the ditch she had first came from, she felt someone step on her tail. She glanced back, it was Darkstripe, his paws was pressed down on Sorrelkit's tortoiseshell tail. "I'm sorry Darkstripe! I was just interested!" Sorrelkit began, but Darsktripe put his paw over her mouth. Then, he removed it and said softly, "Sorrelkit, would you like some berries?" Sorrelkit was shocked, she had been expecting him to be mad and yell at her. She was about to protest, but, she *did* like berries. "Um...Okay?" Sorrelkit mewed uncertainly. Darkstripe smiled a sly smile and disappeared into the bushes, then returned carrying three red berries. They had seeds in. "Here." He spoke softly, he spilled them into Sorrelkit's mouth. She chewed them slowly, they tasted nice! Suddenly, she felt her throat burn. Her throat was on fire! "Help-" Sorrelkit tried to scream, but Darkstripe covered her mouth with his paw. Suddenly, she saw Graystripe and Firestar bounding towards them. She was shaking violently.'
@@laurenswholesale I'm pretty sure the ending is different. I don't remember Sorrelkit ever trying to run away or scream for help, but I could be wrong.
oh my god goosebumps the part of darkstripe put the paw in the mouth of the kit when she hesitated to eat u goosebumps and her expression is so good so dramatic!
I cannot stop watching this and it is so great! I think that Darkstripe needs more attention, he truly deserves to be recognized for his evil to. Sometimes I just think about this (since I only just finished the 1st arc when I wrote this) and then found this. I kid you not I have watched this at least 10-15 times already. Truly great 🤌
I like how every characters' reaction on the scene is just how I imagined it and how every character shows the feelings so good ex. Sorrel'Kit the pain I dont know if you understand, take that I just love it!!❤️✨
Omg when that happened in the books it made me so sad 😭 and when sorrelkit woke up in Cinderpelts den and told Fireheart what happened it made me sadddddddddddddd
Her and Raven paw probably have extreme PTSD you can even see it in the books while her and leaf pool are looking for herbs and they find death berries
The fact sorreltail hides the fact that she is scarred for life. Leafpaw/pool stumbles into a death berry bush, and sorrel tail gets horrified and quickly helps her get out. She mentions it once in the series when she and leafpool were finding the moon pool. When leafpool explains they are using death berries to kill the snake that killed honeyfern, sorreltail panics and doesn’t say anything or do any patrols for a short while. After that she turns more and more distant whenever someone’s mentions and deathberry.
To jest prześwietne! Naprawdę masz śliczny artstyle i bardzo ładne designy postaci ^w^ I jeszcze sposób, w jaki Ciemna Pręga zakrył Szczawikowi pyszczek... :0
The audacity Darkstripe had to actually poison a kit just for walking in on them, he could’ve just not used deathberries. Like bro, it’s a fricking kit and you’re breaking the warrior code x100000 especially to a kit. This broke my heart because this actually scared me and it made me cry just a little from the details because it mentioned deathberries to a kit. (Edited this because of some typos 😅) edit: DANG TIME FLIES ITS BEEN A YEAR-
kinda wish that the Erins included Sorreltail’s spirit when Firestar possessed Rootspring and killed him. that would’ve been so much cooler. or have just Sorreltail, cause she had every right to (maybe for his first death).
