Indeed, this and the few other Shannbei songs released at that time brought in freshness and hope to a nation that was going through tremendous ups and downs. The lyrics, the music, and the performance by Shaanxi Singing and Dancing Troupe was all second to none. Yang Qiao, the leading singer, was simply superb. She was born and grew up in Northern Shannxi. Everything about that song was wonderful. Just like it was for you, it is one of my all time favorite as well. Glad we had similar experience.
LongTimeTTFan well, back then my family didn't have radio receiver, just listened the songs from those loud speakers and picked up lyrics pretty fast...:). suddenly realized i am getting .... well, more mature... than .. yesterday...
A radio receiver in the early 1970s was a luxury item for many families. But possibly hearing this wonderful song over the loud speaker makes the memory even fonder. Let's cherish the sweet memories of the long-gone yesteryears.
thanks. true, back then we depended on those loud speakers of the streets to get whatever happened: news, songs/music, more importantly for whatever happened in my community. yes back then literally we had almost nothing, but we also literally worried about nothing.

Fleurs rouges « Titres Folk, l'Orchestre symphonique de Central. « Fleurs rouge » est « Eighteen l'eau portant soeur » par les Folk Songs « Xin Tian You » et des chansons folkloriques dans l'est du Gansu arrangeur Liu Feng de 1972.
