She was so thankful she even started tearing up once the aftertaste hit her! Wow, what a strong episode. The worldwide HoloX members Lui and Chloe from my understanding are relatively familiar with overseas stuff, and they seemed so enthusiastic at the outset, but what a turnabout! Lui has such a way with words, and it seemed like Chloe struggled to get the words out at all. And everyone in the comments has been saying it's evil to hide the "normal" way of eating it by calling it "baby level", but it turned out even worse, genuinely unexpected.

I like the "6 May" suddenly turning to "6 April" at the end when it fades out. I think Ame and/or Kronii are messing with your timeline, Bae! You'd better watch out. ;) (I know exactly what happened, of course, and it's no biggie; I'm just foolin'! This series has been really fun so far, and I look forward to seeing what the next "victims" wind up thinking. Heheh.)

@@ryugatsuchiya9018 If you watch the video, it says 6 May right up until the screen starts to fade to black, at which point it suddenly changes to say 6 April. This tells me that Bae originally typed 6 April when putting this video together (I assume Bae is the one who put it together, anyway!), but probably realized her mistake at the last minute and corrected it to 6 May. She'd likely already split the video stream at the spot where the fadeout was set to start before making this correction, however, which would've split the text layer as well -- so when she corrected the text to say 6 May instead of 6 April, the change only applied to the text layer up until the fadeout, which she seemingly didn't notice before encoding the final video.

Neko Mikuri was the editor of this series, maybe this was bulked edited and some scheduling got mixed up as we don't know if the guest was shown in chronological order. Or there might be a reschedule of airing hence the last min edit. All in all this was a minor hiccup, I'm sure Ame's the one responsible for this.

Feels like Bae has paid jp back 109 times for the Goya juice experience! It's funny how all the guests immediately liken it to miso and notice the fermentation, but come up with the wildest descriptions when tasting. Vegemite truly cannot be defined! I should try it .....

I heard it is often served on a sandwich of quality buttered bread, a layer of Vegemite, and tofu, sprouts, crunchy vegetables, tomato round etc. in the middle, sometimes with cheese. I have yet to try it, but this idea certainly sounds more appetizing than eating it with a spoon or however they are testing it 😂

This was BY FAR the most entertaining video in this series so far. It doesn't hurt that I'm a big fan of both Lui-nee and Chloe but it just felt like they had a lot more interesting things to say about the Vegemite and the whole experience.

i thought this series was supposed promote vegemite but instead it just straight up disses it lol for anyone wondering making people eat a raw vegemite is like asking someone to drink soy sauce, the stuff is meant to be used sparingly in combination with other stuff(like butter or cheese) like a condiment.

@@anthonynguyen1289 I tried it! On buttered bread. VERY strong stuff, even with a thin layer; having the "victims" eat a SPOONFUL of it was a gag for funny reactions, but no fair test of the product. This is the first non-spicy thing I ever ate to have a [welcome] sinus-clearing effect-a potent salty taste somewhere between a concentrated soy sauce saltiness and the backbite of yeasty bread. The nutritional content is impressive: you get the full US RDA of folate in only 10 grams of Vegemite! I'm sticking with it, and will also try it on crackers and as an additive to soups and stews.

I imagine it would be if you ate it like that. Personally, I find if you only have Slightly more than you should it's kind of sour. Still, that's not at all how anyone sensible eats it when the goal is something that tastes good rather than pranking/torturing people.

All I've gleamed from watching all five of these is that Vegemite is likely a sentient entity that changes it's taste depending on who eats it. I've heard that it's bitter, I've heard that it's sweet, I've heard that it's salty, and I don't understand.

Making foreigners gag by eating too much Vegemite is pretty much a national tradition at this point, but it would be nice if people got to try it properly, spread thin with butter or cheese on toast/crackers after their initial suffering was over. It also works as vegetable stock if you boil it. This series made me actually try a spoonful of Vegemite and holy cow, I see what Lui means about the aftertaste when there's that much. A tad disappointed the bread made it worse for them. I wonder how Bae eats her Vegemite, and if she still layered it on thick for them anyway.

The "blue cheese without the cheese" description had me picturing a rat looking like it's eating the insides of stiffened cylindrical cheese when it's actually eating off a jar of Vegemite, with the reveal adding to the terror the rat itself already elicits.
