Crystalnait I agree 💯! They are conflating Saidi with Shaabi. This is too harsh, too flat on the foot, with emphasis on the down instead of the beautiful lifted light and joyful of authentic Saidi. Perhaps they are attempting to imitate the way men dance Saidi. It's much more masculine and stiff then it should be

You are actually right Katia! This is kind of our first chance to dance together... We almost live in the 2 different parts of the world, plus she learn the choreography from my video herself... and never learn Saidi before this... I guess your Professionalism will never allow this happen and that’s great... Because of the urgent situation at the time, (no one like to go up in front of ppl unprepared, but life happens to some people) end up we couldn’t get any time to practice together till only before the competition, we rush through & talk about it... that’s all Theses kind of things might never happen to you... and good for you. And I’m sorry if this gave you nightmares... Well, after all we are lucky that we didn’t had judges like you, so even with this nightmare :) we win the 2ed place in bunch of peoples... I totally agree with you about it’s quality... but for it’s reason... I see this video totally different from you... for me this is actually surprisingly not that bad... and forgivable.

Envy really sucks. This is not belly dance, This dance is called SAIDI, it is a folk dance And Yes they dance very Well.
