Damn..... I can't see other actors that can act as Kenshin other than Satoh, it looks like he was born for this role; great actor and do his own stunts too, very rare for an actor
Kenshin Himura slaughtered his foes at breakneck speed in the opening scene of “The Beginning.” His moves are just breathtaking to watch. Takeru Satoh’s stellar portrayal of this complex fictional character is inimitable and unparalleled. It's the first Asian action film that made me cry. Without a doubt, we all witnessed his extraordinary skill and superhuman agility in sword fights but in this prequel, he added some emotional depth to his character that was powerfully delivered on screen.
@@yoidoki I absolutely agree. Mr. Takeru Satoh is a very versatile actor. I cannot imagine any other actor playing this role. There is only one Kenshin Himura/Battousai and that is Takeru Satoh. 👍👍👍
When the actor surpasses the manga character in every possible way. Apart from the physical moves and agility. This is by far the darkest part of the story and Takeru portrays that dark and sad state of mind but also the constant stress and alertness of the life his character had to live. It was a hard-to-watch movie in a fantastic sense. Also all the connections to the other movies make perfect sense, I was incredibly surprised when I rewatched the first film from 2012 seeing that the first scene was exactly, let me say that again, EXACTLY like this movie ends. The level of detail and perfection not only of the development of the story, character portrayal but also choreographies and overlapping of the entire movie series with no mistakes is in all honesty astonishing. It's one of the very few (if not the only) movie series I know that was polished to perfection in all areas. Mr Satoh and team, thank you for bringing this masterpiece to life! EDIT: I read the manga about 15 years ago, it was VERY loyal to the story and respecful to the autor Nobuhiro Watsuki
SAME ❤ When I watched the live action.. I was surprised and amazed at how good it was ❤ (All the Live action I watched before it was not really that amazing) Tho I was only 12 when it was released and when I watched it 😅 I did watch the anime before it since I started watching at a young age... And you are right. The live action surpassed the manga and anime... IT IS THE BEST LIVE ACTION OF ANIME DONE ♥️
I liked this film but wish we'd gotten more scenes of Kenshin fighting in the Boshin War and with Saito. I also thought it was weird they released this movie after "The Final" instead of before.
@@SolarDragon007 its like a prequel; more of an explanation of where enishi is coming from/why he was angry towards kenshin. If you can still remember, the first film released in 2012 started with kenshin already a wanderer, not battoussai. So the "beginning film" is more like tying loose ends to end the franchise
