Some of his fans didn’t like the way it portrayed him, so they apparently reported it. Later, A03 site got shut down/banned in China . The actual reason it shut down could b that there’s lots of lgbtq content on it, not cuz of 1 fanfic alone, but they never confirmed, but people wanted someone to take the blame so they targeted xiao zhan, assuming his fans caused the ban. It all started with a fanfic of him and yibo, and so to avoid such thing from happening they’ve chosen not to publicly interact, cuz their relationship gets taken as something more.
