AFTER the AC VI FoR announcement, i went on YT to hunt down this video. i never bookmarked it, but i had to seek it out. hard to find it being buried with AC6 reaaction vids, but im glad i did. :)
After the end of ACFA, the remaining NEXTs set aside their differences in celebration of the beauty of their crafts... by dicking around with nuclear weapons.
My friend here in USA would play against and with JPN players in AC4 & ACFA. He was amazing and learned some japanese too. He is gone now and I miss him and this video is very nostalgic! I'm so glad this video is still around!
2023: Armored Core 6 is Revealed and ACFA finally have a stable emulator without any texture issue on RPCS3 securing its future and playability for everyone new or old. What a great time to be alive for a mech fans as were going to enter a second golden age for mech game in this decade just like the early 2000s
I have to admit. 75% estimate comment didn't age so well. But I love this video that people can mess around with it like the rest of the games. No doubt you can always have fun messing around with games.
Man i just finished ACFA a few days ago discount the emlast mission of the Destruction ending and i teared down at this video. I miss AC so much. I used to play last raven and nine breaker when i was in junior high. In ACFA, it's really solemn and relaxing seeing Kojima missiles and The huge missiles cruising on a low speed into the huge explosion onto your enemy.
Holy crap I've been looking for this video for 13 years! I had it downloaded to my phone but it had an English title so I had been looking for that, I didn't realize this was in Japanese lol. My life is now complete. ❤️
ACFA was, and still is the best example of Armored core today. I wish for ACV and ACVD they kept the way you piloted the cores the same and just update the graphics. The controls were not broke, so the shouldn't of fixed it
I love the industrial feel of V and VD's mechs. I'd love to see a continuation of the storyline where the Next tech starts to be incorporated into AC's again so it still has that industrial feel but we can get NEXT-styled handling.
I always wondered what a crossover between "Touhou" and "Armored Core" would be like in appearance... Beautiful, colorful bullets, lasers and missiles flying and raining down everywhere.
As fantastic a game as AC6 is, and as happy as I am that it will bring new players to Armored Core, this video really does just capture that old 4th gen camraderie and community LYNX's had. I miss it.
I miss the minutiae like actually having to balance your mech, worrying about turn speed, being able to run out of money or go into debt, hard modes, speccing your weapons for damage, prevision, or reload, tactical pieces that replaced weapons for passive movement or defensive properties, weapons that drained your generator and relied on planned gameplay, or even just making it require a level of finesse to aim and fly on your own. AC6 does a great job of simplifying for new players, but like many new games that try to appeal to a new audience they lose the fat on the meat for old players to chew and and stick around with. Barebones lobbies, no squadron or factions, and no in game chat or messaging system in the year 2023? And don’t get me started on the stagger system and lack of ranged weapons in AC6, between those and how terrible the FCS are every match feels like RNG deciding who’s shots land first from 10ft away and who’s mech gets arthritis to act up. Primal Armor and KE CE TE split were both way more interesting systems for giving weapons variety of application than turning your armor to cardboard every 5th hit for 4-7 seconds, and at least in 4th and 5th gen you could actually both build and survive a sniper or missile barge that felt balanced for skill rather than just not existing (snipers) or being actually undefeatble (missile barge).
I never thought I'd say this for a RU-vid Video. I'm not sure if I can thank you enough for it. It has inspired me to get where I am on the game today. This video is what actually got me to BUY the game in the first place. I have S-Ranked everything and completed every Order Match. I have played both sides of the story, and I'm with ORCA and Line Ark. Despite never finding anyone to play this with, I am eternally grateful to you for making this beautiful video. I knew I wanted the game, but this video told me I needed it. Thank you so much. Not to mention, loving the track.
@@Onepunchmeme1 My crontrol sceme prevents that. Clicking the left thumbstick activates QB, and right activates OB. I have made but one single model that gets by in everything I do. It was originally meant for support purposes, but I found it to be unreasonably dangerous in all Missions, Hard Missions, and Order Matches. It is extremely difficult to take on in a 1v1 scenario. It's only true weakness is Grey Gloom levels of AA. The only other 1v1 challenge this model really had was AF Jet. The way I built it, it's also my fastest model, OB Sword Thrust reaching over 3200 in normal situations, and exceeding 5300 at the Cradles. Lahire Class, Stasis' Laser Rifle, the long and fast blade, AS Shoulder Missiles, either Virtue or Alyah Main Boosters, Kraken or Alyah Side Boosters, Hogire Back Boosters, Lahire Overbooster, Sobrero Generator, Back Support Boosters, some stabilizers for style, which actually happen to help it out, Tuned in Energy Output, Main Horizontal Boost, Overboost, and Precision, and no Hangar Equipment. Overall, it was the most aggressive AC I ever made, capable of using every bit of functionality at once. What makes me so dangerous in it is that I specialize in lightweight models in machine games. Scariest thing about this model is that it also allows me to be tactical. I tested it against someone locally, and they rage quit. It is most dangerous without its rifle and missiles. Even Spirit Of Motherwill was a joke with this AC, and that AF is usually a nightmare for AC's that rely heavily on their blades. This thing was actually able to keep up with AF Stigro during a Sword Thrust. In a PvP Map, with a single OB Sword Thrust, I almost dash from one side to the other, and with the Sobrero Generator, that Energy comes back QUICK.
@@Onepunchmeme1 It is almost impossible to hit with any Heavy Weapon. Snipers are the only exception. I also tested and confirmed that it can outrun the fastest Missile in the game.
