It’s sad that Kitana was nerfed before the game released. She’s always been a character where you have to work so hard 😭. Wind bomb was an unblockable in the beta but they made it a mid for whatever reason
it seems like kitana is a setplay based character in MK1 so an OH would be overpowered for her even for MK1s standards lol. she literally has everything else I think? idk lol but yeah an OH combo starter would be lit
Overheads aren’t needed when grabs are so strong in a fighting game. Literally your 50/50 should include grabbing. And punishing moves should be how you get combos, utilize spacing and use the backdash to get just out of range. A good backdash after pressure can bait out a panic reversal or down 1 dick jab.
Greatest showcase of the combo potential she really have on her own without kameos (especially in the corner), I was kinda disappointed in her first because she seemed too MK11-like. Sick combos dude!
Unfortunately almost all of her moves are all blocked by crouch-blocking and she doesn’t have an overhead to mix it up. Makes for a pretty 1-sided fight against her. Even her throwing fan that falls on the opponents head is a “mid” (for some reason)
@@eVoluci0n Since she doesn’t have an overhead, you would think the one thing that falls directly out of the sky onto her opponents head would count as an overhead and not a mid. Practically, it seems wrong that an opponent can crouch-block and be safe from a projectile hitting them in the dome. Aside from a jump-kick to hit them in the head, she doesn’t have much in that regard. And, unfortunately, if they are crouch blocking, that leaves a huge window for a Down+2 counter if she jumps
to be good character don't need overhead. She's zoner at first, and have great footsie buttons to whiff punish at second. If you don't wanna play spacing/neutral/zoning game, just pick other character
i understand it makes more sense for it to be an overhead, but when I look at other characters such as Tanya that has a drill kick which is a mid, they obviously made the move the way it is for "balance" reasons. I believe they're trying to have a more balanced game instead of it being a repeat of MKX.@@ZebulaJams
This needs more popularity. These are some amazing combos ! Kitana needs a buff though her damage is pretty weak. Why cant the last clip happen in a real match 😂
Her damage is far from “weak” and is pretty balanced. If anything other characters need their damage reduced a bit. I should not lose half my life from one combo because “sareena” decided to show up and is used by everyone because it’s easy street
