Would he fit for the Foreigner class, though? SPOILERS: He did cross and charted that place of bad juju but I feel he fits the saber class (even if he self admits he isn’t) kinda like Muramasa.
Why is Shang a 4* though? He should be a 5* with the Sorcerous Sword Index as his EX rank NP. The ability to have 30+ NP worthy swords in his arsenal would make it EX rank worthy. Also the ability to steal sword-type NPs and store it in the index for future use is also OP and fits with his character and lore.
@@SomeQuackingDuck Kinda? Shou has to obtain a magical sword by defeating his enemies first or stealing the sword before adding it to his index. Gilgamesh already has almost every NP in his gate of Babylon. And it's not limited to swords unlike Shou.
is it just me or is saber maybe not all that skilled considering she is almost always outdone by the oponnents pure skill and she always has to fall back on her absurd high stats and top gear....
Eyes of puppetry is a mean ability to use on a puppet! I love Thunderbolt fantasy, the characters are so well written and the show has given me a lot of my recent favorite moments in "anime". It's criminally underrated. I didn't love one thing the Mysterious Gale did (robbing the Phoenix Killer of redepmtion) but it was definitely on brand for his trickster persona. Thanks for uploading/translating this.
Was tempted to share this with a friend who hasn't watched Thunderbolt Fantasy, but is a Fate fan, but it seems to have quite a few spoilers in regards to both the existence of the index and Saber saying that he's using a wooden sword.
@@K2MusicKSquare Alongside that Gundam and Tsukihime crossover? I mean one turned out to be true in a singularity featuring Shiki but... Who knows right?
@@BobbiHiru You'll never get an answer. But as a fan of the series, part of it is showing the full clash and impact which modern movies sorely lack in favor of time and pumping out something flashy asap. It's a lot more impressive showing the full fight rather than someone throwing a punch, and the person suddenly flying in a different cut at a different angle.
Puppet comes from a old transitional theatre where people go to see for entertainment in the past and it comes from past where their is still ruled by empress and the male empra in Chinese history it’s one of a old type of entertainment for children and their parents watch when they are not working or going to school and puppetry still their even the time has changed.
When Saber was finally making her first move, my reaction was like "DUDE, GET THE FUCK OUT OF THERE, YOUR SWORD LITERALLY WON'T CUT IT. SHE'S GONNA MURDER YOOUU!". His first sword snapped of course but when his wooden blade schlicks into the fray and stops Saber's strike, I shit you not, my jaw went wide open and I was like "Duude, what..." Seeing that I know how much of a powerhouse Saber is when it comes to swordsmanship and swordfights, I was just in disbelief of how he just halted and parrying Saber's strike like it was nothing, though with how much his body is in control of someone, I'm not sure who is the better out of the two. Even though this is non-canon, I salute that guy for holding her back for a few moments. This is part of my headcanon now. 😏 Also, Saber looks FABULOUS in doll form.
If you haven't seen Thunderbolt Fantasy then you should know Sho is just as (if not more) skilled a swordsmen- him using a wooden sword is completely his own volition, The moment it was revealed he was using a wooden sword in the second half of season 1 it was genuinely shocking considering what we'd seen him do by that point My point being Thunderbolt Fantasy is an INCREDIBLE series
@@Tfbrave I have seen Thunderbolt Fantasy if you're wondering. They call him "Edgeless Blade" for some reason, right? That show is awesome. No, what I was worried about at that time is that would his "blade", which you could just basically describe it as a fancy wooden stick/branch, be enough to stop a legendary blade of some renown. Excalibur isn't a pushover of a sword you can push aside so to think he can do just that is one big power move in my book.
@@randomstranger_3 don't forget he's also a master of ki control- which is how he's able to use the wooden sword the way he does, the same episode as the wooden sword reveal had him do the same thing with a random tree branch he picked up and the first film had him do it with a piece of rope
I don't know why. But a bastard vagabond who always likes bullying either villains or rich people, and is renowned as a thief in the land- even if he isn't entirely known by everyone to be that said thief, reminds me of someone. Gui Niao isn't a vagabond anymore? He works in the Governments federal bureau for Dong Li? Whatever could you mean, I totally wasn't talking about Gui Niao. c':
I dont know why but this looks super familiar??? A long time ago during the golden age of cartoon network and toonami there was a anime that was exactly like this but with a different name???
Perhaps you're thinking of Wulin Warriors? It was an old attempt at a western localization of one of the seasons of Pili Fantasy (the taiwanese puppet series that Thunderbolt Fantasy is a spinoff of).
Been watching all seasons , and I’ve gotta say this is pretty cool. There’s three seasons and two movies. I don’t know why they stopped making this series. Hopefully they’ll drum up another season. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
There are 5 seasons planned in total. The next entry has been confirmed although we dont know when it will be released. I believe that the script was finished just a month or two ago, so its likely on the filming stage at this point
Saber is pulled into yet another crossover event to drop an Excalibur and leave. Must be a common comedy sketch format over in the Reverse Side of the World, huh...
The main character sounds like the voice of the main character from the Yakuza video game series. I’ve been binge watching this show since I discovered it , there’s like five seasons and a movie. I’m only in to the second season so far , can’t wait to see the rest of this season and more. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
There are actually 2 movies, which were released in-between seasons. The first movie is pretty cool but not strictly plot relevant-the second movie however, Bewitching Melody of the East, actually provides some background context for the main story and you're expected to have seen it before watching season 3. Also, while there are 5 seasons planned in total, only 3 of them have been made so far. The next entry has been in the works for a while though, so it might not be long before we hear a release date. That being said, it remains to be seen whether or not we'll be going straight to Season 4 next, or if they'll continue the trend of having another movie focusing on the backstory of one of the supporting characters first. In my opinion, the series has been getting even better with each new entry, so hopefully that continues to be true :D
@@aluhvee I actually just finished watching all three seasons and the first movie , starting to watch the second movie right now , these are so cool And thanks for all the info. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
Reminder that Shang Bu Huan canonically fended off Excalibur, the Divine Construct forged in the heart of the planet used to destroy the civilisation-reaping giant Sefar with one shot, using an ordinary wooden stick.
