I had some ideas going into this song. when i initially started the Dark Matter remix, i was pumped. i had ideas going for the Swordsman the most out of all of them, personally because i think the swordsman is one of the coolest ever. I drew the swordsman one, and Star Abraham helped finalize it. but other than that, the Dark Matter and Zero artwork was done by @eGamerGlitch on Twitter. Dude's a real treat to have in the server too.
Dark matter himself (Hyperzone 1), was a track i wanted to ensure wasn't going to be repetitive, since most of these songs can be if just left around for 20 minutes LOL, but i did what i could to make it sound great. after doing the both of those i was initially tired and didn't wanna go do Hyperzone 2, i was like"man i ain't finna do it, i'll prolly incorporate it somewhere"
Boy am i stupid.
Made it into a whole pinch phase, which was supposed to end off of the first loop, then i went "nah, loop it and make it even crazier and intense..." and after all was said and done i went "what if i..." and that's how the countdown section was born...
believe me, this was much less planned, and more of a journey than anything. in any case, do enjoy this 7th boss battle in the Kirby Boss Raid remix album.

@@chinyereudeh3405 According to Japanese pause descriptions for Star Allies, there's Dark Matter, Soul Matter, Heart Matter, and Dream Matter. Considering we haven't seen much anything of anything else besides the first, they're probably not sentient on their own. Put that with science-oriented Ancients and magic Jamba cult butting heads while the Jambandrans worship Void and I think the narrative lends itself. If Void is the progenitor/creator of sentient Dark Matter while Zero was formerly believed to have been such and has proven the capability to make at least mini Dark Matter in his boss battle, it's gotta be like a hierarchy thing at the least - if Void is the commander in chief, Zero has gotta be like a general or something at least, maybe there's multiple Zeroes like him or 02 or stuff, for lack of a better metaphor you at least see where I'm going with it. Keeping with the religious point of view of the Jambandrans, Zero's gotta be like the messiah from their perspective at least.

This remix is absolutely amazing. It's like everything I wanted from a dark matter medley and more. And the call backs to other dark matter related themes are incredible! Anyways leitmotif list time because I recognized a lot, (and it gives me an excuse to rewatch the video even though I'm going to do that anyways): 0:31 factory investigation (Kirby 64) 0:44 dark matter (dreamland 2) 1:58 void termina leitmotif? Hooooooooly shiiiiiit! That was fuckin’ EPIC! First - gotta get this out of the way - that intro with Factory Investigation was straight out of TTYD, and I love everything about it. Definitely a fitting inspiration for the most eldritch arch-villain of the series. Second, EVERYTHING ELSE. Before this, I expected Dark Matter being fought any time before dead last would be out of place, but here it works almost perfectly; the music is so oppressive, it lets you know that while Dark Matter might not be in charge this time, they are _out for Kirby’s blood,_ and they’ll be using the RMX Amplifier to _deadly effect._ Dark Matter’s segments especially stand out, because the instrumentation really captures that perfect balance of its outward appearance of a dark swordsman and the all-powerful reality defying anomaly it really is. I don’t know what it is, but the contrast between the original Dark Matter’s forms always gave it an interesting unspoken character dynamic to me, and whether intentional or not, I definitely hear it reflected here ^_^ And then, of course, good ol’ Zero. And may I just say, theming his chaotic battle track around a “pinch mode” for the battle was a _great_ pick. The triumphant moment with Green Greens right before the final countdown also gives a fantastic mental image of Kirby breaking through the master of darkness’s onslaught; an image that captures the series very nicely. That ending, though... compared to the other climatic moments of these remixes it almost doesn’t seem like this is really the end for Zero... and the notable lack of emphasis on Zero 2’s theme here makes me veeeery curious as to this bloody villain’s true fate after the battle was won. Let’s go for Drawcia next; just one more obstacle between Kirby and the scourge of Dream Land. Fight on, Kirby, and may your journey be scored by the kickass beats of TNH’s musical talent ^_^ (Also very nice touch referencing Zero 2’s intro/Gooey in Zero’s artwork. That was as disturbing as it was clever)

Man i've always ALWAYS enjoyed reading long and heartfelt comments like this one man, it just speaks so much volumes as to the fact that there's a lot to be had. Appreciation is something to really appreciate LMAO! It means a lot that you really enjoy it, man, and you definately encapsulated majority of what i was going for in terms of the emotions i wanted to emit from this track! The end, though was not for zero, but rather the CRAZINESS leading into the darker ending was something to show that this kind of power means they are close, as they are not prepared for the challenges that come with being inside the base. the heroes have a lot to fight, and a lot to fight FOR as well!

TNH, this is a question. Why aren't you popular yet? This is unfair. Your music is literally too good. You probably heard this a million times but your incredible ^^ You remixing the music and blending it all in smoothly of a particular boss and its previous boss battles or stages it's just so, amazing. And the gameplay at back just makes it better and more hype! Like your dealing with a MAJOR threat! I would never hear this type of music from anybody, so thanks for being around and also PRODUCING COOL MUSIC with that determination, keep doing what you do best ^^

Just wanted to say this remix is amazing, been listening to it over and over the last few days. Hyper Zone 1 has always been one of my fave Kirby boss tracks because of how weird and chaotic it is and you perfectly captured that energy here. Of course the rest is great too, love the way you seamlessly weave in musical motifs from other Kirby tracks. Really great stuff!

I don't wanna make you feel bad, but that would likely not be possible, becauase its kind is forged with all negativity. If they become positive, it risks their very existence. If you wanna turn that POSITIVE, you should *_just pet Gooey._* Gooey likely escaped the Dark Matter's deadly forces, but why he got there was unknown even to HIS experience. Gooey's creation was probably the big risk for Dark Matter because he could have died, and the chances of the OTHER Dark Matters turning into light would be SO SLIM that most of them would DIE.

Man I have to say: this is ALMOST good. But man the Genesis notes used here really take me out of these songs, it's total tonal whiplash. You overuse them WAY TOO MUCH. They feel extremely out of place and primitive in these kinds of songs. They can sound good in the right situations, like songs in actual Sonic games, but they really don't belong here at all.
