It’s a one sided rivalry really, Senna is super serious about beating Kanata, but Kanata on the other hand couldn’t care less about Senna, hell, Katagiri couldn’t really care less about anyone, he isn’t super serious about beating Beckenbauer and Sawatari (the latter also being dead set on beating Kanata).

@@metaliczic96 Yeah I’m caught up, but while Kanata does want that first place he doesn’t seem to be particularly interested in beating Sena, Sawatari, or Beckenbauer, he just wants that win, but doesn’t particularly care about those three. On the other hand Initial D did show us a rivalry between Keisuke and Takumi, and how the former pushed himself in order to beat Fujiwara once Project D was finished, and the latter being determined to not not lose to the younger Takahasi sibling. We don’t get that with Kanata in MFG, if anything the main rivalry is between Beckenbauer and Sawatari (except for round 5).

@@riceball52 i'm with you, but it's because Takumi never talked about his Project D stuff to Kanata (Something Keisuke for the other hand told everything to Sena) so at the end, Sena felt that Kanata as Keisuke's Rival pupil a new rivalry can begin. But Kanata at the beginning was only interested to enjoy the MFG, then he started to see the competition seriously but he had to wait for Round 3-4 for that.

@@AugusIshigami You’re partly right, but also keep in mind Kanata and Sawatari have raced before resulting in the former’s defeat multiple times, yet he doesn’t really have an urge to win against him and he doesn’t seem disappointed when he couldn’t beat his time in the qualifiers for Round 4, basically Katagiri just exists, and while he does have a desire to win later on he doesn’t ever express the need to overcome any particular driver and he doesn’t express frustration or disappointment when he doesn’t achieve his goal of winning. We can see this when he loses to Beckenbauer by an incredibly small margin, yet he doesn’t get frustrated or express a desire to beat him on the next race, and it goes for Sawatari too when he lost to him in the 4th qualifier and doesn’t seem bothered nor expresses the need to get back at him during the race, all of this makes Kanata pretty boring to watch.

@@ILikeInitialD Technically not, because Kanata drives above the sidewalk. And there were no gutters when he made that move in round 4.

​@@skydrifter9i read the manga and sometimes i participate at the MF Ghost Wiki, Daigo didn't make anything. He didn't update the Lambo or change it. So it's ok your work. (For other hand the Round 5 488 has less power said by Akaba, because of the engine wearing by the races.)

Most of the shots came from the Naruto Skyline map from what I can see. It's a port from Rfactor based on real roads. It's the size of an mfg course (26km) but the actual placement of the roads is around a 6hr drive away from where MFG takes place. @@Nxietyyy
