If anything, I feel like it's not "happy", but about the fleeting beauty of the world around us. Like the sakura tree, it's seasonal. That's precisely why Makoto, admired it so much, since beauty in the eyes of the gods, is quite different in the eyes of a mortal. Beauty doesn't last forever, like anything in this world it's subjected to a cruel master, time. This flash of moment is what makes it all the more precious. Makoto understood this. It is this very sentiment that she so chresihes-and soon, Ei found out what ETERNITY means for her subjects. Far from the eternity that Ei desires. The TRUE ETERNITY that INAZUMANS aspires, is not about an unchanging nation frozen to where it was. They desire to move forward, to make progress. Knowing full well, that they might wilt like the sakura tree; but through the memories of those they care about they'll live again (essentially bloom again). EI'S ETERNITY is stagnation, driven by the FEAR of LOSS. It's quite sad really.
@@Flavorless13 agree! The aesthetics captured in many Japanese works are centred around appreciating transience, because the only eternity is change. There is a sad beauty that accompanies these appreciations--the beautiful things in the world are ephemeral. Ei's, the goddess of eternity, theme song has heavy references to sakura sakura. The very flower that embodies the spirit of ephemeral beauty in Japan. That dang irony! It makes sense to know, also, that Ei's obsession with eternity stem from her fear of transience--the passing of makoto. Here's even more irony: Ei's ambition(vision) to reach eternity has caused her to succumb to her delusions. The inazumans who lost their visions(ambitions) either cling onto their wasted destinies or succumb to delusions brought in by the fatui. Many of the stories in inazuma are about chasing ambitions and seeking or reminiscing temporal bliss. This is especially prominent in yoimiya's and kazuha's.
I've always had this thought but ever since I heard this song it felt so familiar. Im guessing they referenced "sakura, sakura", a traditional japanese song, when making this. Honestly, everything in this game is very nicely done and the fact that bits like traditional japanese songs and some japanese history is incorporated makes me think about how much time and effort they spent on this game.
that's why I have notes open and play it while reading it from the notes. (might only work if your fingers are already familiar with the whole keyboard layout)
@@christianbobis452 Yeah but it’s hard, plus especially on that layout, I know how to play piano and that shit but on genshin it’s a whole new layout I can’t memorize
i think i know what it is, it's basically some keys don't make the sound when played together. If not, then pressing some keys at the same time won't play/play together. Either way it's either a sound bug or key bug .-.
@@alfielin7357 I think it's sound bug (I'm also not sure if that's a bug or intentional behavior). Because the key you already play previously should have keep going. But, at the time you press the next key (usually 3rd key), the sound of the previous key (usually 1st key) stops abruptly.
Still disappointed in the fact that I started playing during the event, but wasn’t able to get the lyre (For me, I just thought the event would last *forever* so I continued to do the main story.....then I realized that it was limited. I saw the lyre in the shop, but couldn’t get it because I didn’t do all of the rhythm mini games ;-;) (THE LYRE’S IN MAJORIE’S SHOP GUYS SNAMINSIANSUNUANSUHA)
Nice! How long it took? I "learned" Dragonspine song in a few days, but that was short-termed memorizing :D Was needed to remember it again using a videoguide to play it last week)
@@NightLancerX 2-1 week maybe? and also that great, i repeated the same parts all over again so i remember it all now without needing to see the notes again
The song tells story about Baal: *lost her friends* 😭 You: *lost your pity* to Yoimiya for the sake of cute little *ninja Sayu,* but you're also wanting Baal which comes in the next banner 🗿
That was me but I'm so glad I won the 50/50 with 42 pulls in! I don't see myself winning the next 50/50 though.. Won too many 50/50s since Xiao's banner
@@lemilimel It's trade off between winning the 4-stars character you want and increasing the risk of losing your hard pity... But if it's on low pull count and 50/50 some people still see it as a win, just like you 👍
@@salmon-kd7bc For example you really want Kujou Sara as soon as possible, but it's on Raiden Shogun's banner who you don't want In my opinion, similar to yours, it's not recommended to pull; because 4-stars characters are often repeated after about a month later after its release
holy crap the nostalgia this is giving me today.. i used to play genshin alot and the lyre was one of my favourite things to do and this was the main song i played
Your so amazing I suddenly fall in love with the note and aauuuugh idk what to tell your so talented and I don't think a non musician like me can memorize such a note Aaaaaaaaaugh!!! 😭😭😵😆
Not knowing much about Raiden Shoguns lore other than the basic lore that you get from playing through the archon quests, seeing her friends get taken away one by one at the beginning till its only her left, is heart breaking.
dude when it started raining in this video, it rained in real life at the same time no joke.. bro..? Now it's become quieter after the video ended. Great song thanks for the notes btw:)
that song is just makes me cry....still i dont see a reason to pity her. everyone in game lost their precious ones yet no one is evil. and she is way younger than venti and zhongli which means there is a long way and pain awaits her like others. getting broken in just a few hundred years as a god is a little too naive. for example if someone should be evil then that would be xiao yet he is nearly the kindest. dain litteraly watched not just a few friends death but a whole naitons, his whole families death as a human yet ist evil. if she was a human i wouldnt find her being a villain weird but she is a god that not lives for dreams but for their ppl... still different from others she is searching a way that will give them eternity, which she will no longer loose someone. yet she is sacrificing now for later, the ones that did nothing wrong is dying for her ideal. and knowing that signora will take her gnosis and her dream wont be real just makes their deaths pointless. i think baal deserves someone to support and love her but not kindness or pity since she no longer has it for her ppl. tho i hope traveller can change her mind and she wins her ppls trust and love which i think will make her able to bear her pain.(oh no i wrote too much again lol)
Im no lore-master…but it could be the circumstance? Morax only sealed Azhdaha, most of his companions died in battle…Barbatos lost his friends in big battles but he also gained friends that used to be his enemies…out of the 3 closest friends to Baal, she had to kill 2 of them personally. So safe to say she is similar to Cryo Archon being the emotional type of Archon, doing bad things to protect their loved ones? I mean if the reason all her friends died is due to Visions giving them higher purpose in life that lead to their deaths…taking their Visions seem to solve tat issue no? (This is just a point, we know what taking away Visions does to people, but its better than dying right?)All speculations tho
@@alwin9616 zhongli lost guizhong, four yaksha, Osial, havria, Azhdaha. Is he evil? No, unlike baal, he decided to make his ppl stronger to not give another sacrifice. Venti lost everyone he was used to be together and even after being a god who became friends with him died. Is he evil? No he lost his friends bc they didnt have their right, they werent free and they died for their freedom. Thats why he shown his ppl a way, and gave them freedom. Gods was the main reason xiao lost everything and just suffered. His first master starved him to death, forced him to kill or eat ppl. One of his friend suicided right before his eyes, one left them in that fight, and two killed each other. At the end xiao didnt turn into evil as well even tho he is way older than baal, and suffered more and he even protected ppl that lives happily unlike him. Yet as a god baal just protected her ppl, and now she is destroying them herself. In yashiori island everyone, even those who loves baal so much is dying bc of the war and the desase. Yet baal is still after visions. If she was doing this for her ppl she would take every vision but she is taking just 100 visions. Just bc her friends died she is killing her own ppl. What is right about this? How can you guys still able to love her after she sacrificing even childs for eternity.
@@alwin9616 and tsaritsa is too kind to her ppl, she protects them and loves them. She leads them very well even tho she is very emotional. She way too different from baal.
@@Agigagyl interesting read, firstly thanks for that. Zhongli really is a cut above the rest. Ok, so based on what I gathered from your point, Barbatos have indeed lost a lot, however, wasnt the tale u mentioned before his ascension to godhood? Thereafter having defeated the evil god, there onwards he became a benevolent god hence he didnt turn evil cuz not much had happened since then (i presume nothing big)…back to my initial point, good turning evil due to circumstances…so by that logic, isnt that what happened to Xiao? Unfortunate for what he had experience, yes…until Zhongli saved him and gave him a new role, which is why he is different from the other Yakshas (not saying he is without emotion, but as compared to other, being evil at one point and rising above it, tat wisdom he gained is what kept him from becoming evil again…hopefully he remains that way)…which is what im trying to say initially, up to a point, every Archon and Adepti had done atrocious acts, their sins are as great as their deeds…perhaps this is just among one of Baal’s shortcoming as Archon and similar concept to Xiao, waiting for someone to “save” her?
@@Agigagyl yes, after writing my initial post, i read somewhere that she also partook the war against Khan’riah…hence given her long ruling as Archon, she definitely is better than Baal. Maybe she is as u said too young and naive for the job…which is why im more interested on how they plan to reveal about her backstory even more
Me: Oooo I should do this 2 hours later: finally I can play the first 12 seconds fluently :D (0:13) 3 hours later: finally I can play up to the second pause (0:27)
Ngl this version of the song makes me feel nostalgic for no reason even though I'm not familiar with any traditional Japanese music.. it's just a complicated emotion I can't explain
Baals song ligit says so much in the way it sounds Happy Then sad Then thiers hope Then it’s gone And then it’s like revenge almost or never turning back Then it just thier waiting It reflects on my life so much hbu?
I learned the combination. On the keyboard, when you press 2 keys, the sound is different. One lags behind the other and all the same in the game the melody sounds differently. On the last verse, I hit combinations as fast as I could and the sound is completely different.
