As an artist I cried after watching ur growth

Looking at these fan artworks, I think, "wow, someone watched an anime with characters they loved so much they wanted to draw them, and in doing so, they keep those characters - and that feeling - alive for longer than the period the story aired for", and it makes me kind of sad to think that the characters aren't real and just exist as a feeling and a nostalgia for a bygone time. But then I thought, "on the other hand, real living people made these anime, simply moving drawings with characters telling a story, and they were such legendary individuals that they managed to move and inspire people around the world" ... Isn't that exceedingly beautiful?
