I consider this a bit awkward seeing as at the time, if we use in game to connect to the story’s canon plot, he’s admitting his feelings to Luna Only a short time later when he starts REALLY going nuts and will seemingly kill Athrun when he bails ZAFT But most importantly, and the awkward factor, kills Luna’s younger SISTER in the process instead of capturing Athrun’s stolen Gouf That always threw me off regarding Destiny’s canon He just killed your little sister not a short time ago Luna, and now your hoping into BED with him? Destiny’s bad drama writing at its finest, right up their with pretty much everything regarding Cagalli and Athrun
@@arashitendou5941It's pretty clear to both of them that Shinn never wanted to kill either Athrun or Meyrin, Luna trusts him enough to know that, they both just accepted it as an unfortunate turn of events rather than Shinn supposedly killing the two. Despite two of them not being a ship till the later half of the series, it was clear that they were friends with each other ever since they attended the same military academy. The two of them hooking up isn't really farfteched since people tend to seek comfort after a loss.

Fitting that the three characters you have everyone thrashing are all aspects directly opposing God Gundam’s key factors: Kira: nicknamed Jesus Yamato for his ridiculous plot armor saving him from multiple deaths that should not be possible, and he’s getting seemingly killed by GOD Gundam Iok: is largely known for causing the sinking and deaths of many ships (killing the Turbines and their lover), being a Love to Hate character by the entire Fandom, the only “love” anyone has for him is his well deserved death scene in the Finale, and for all his posturing regarding his status and the 7 Stars being a god like force in IBOverse he’s being killed by a Gundam named GOD Nanao: uses her seductive body and wiles to manipulate others, also causing annoyance with other girls when showing said features to the male cast being a concept of Lust over any Love
They didn't need to put so much effort in a character as minor as Mileina, this is something nearly no one will see - but I'm glad they did nonetheless, because it's very funny.
