Was so pleased to hear this in this story fight and it reminded me of why I fell in love with GBF these past few years. Happy 8th anniversary, GBF! Looking forward to more stories & banger tracks from the Sky Realm!
this euphoric feeling never have i felt this hard since WMTSB series The Anniv event lores alone was top tier, but that "fight" really tops the cake. I'm still shaking
I can't put it words how the story raid made me feel. Not only because how much of a simp for angels I am, but generally, the story is just too good, made me feel a lot of things towards primals, I just, can't describe it. I'm so happy I got into this game for almost two years now, and hopefully there will be much more to come. Happy 8th anniversary, Granblue Fantasy, and all skyfarers.
On the contrary I think the writing got worse and worse each anni event. The first part with Baldr was kinda fine but the Cosmos and Luci relationship came from nowhere when was not even implied before, Bahamut chose to talk now after 8 years and there was little reason to kept Danchou in the limbo just to show him part of unrelated past him for little reason only to say war is bad something the crew already now after many years. It works maybe to fill the gap the writing team left before with some of the characters
@@MrOverTyrant nobody asked. Also "it was not implied before" is a dumb thing to say seeing there was really no reason for it to get brought up before now, and Lucifer said he was gonna tell MC SOMETHING back in WMSTB, which now is given context to be the choice between Cosmos or Singularity choosing the fate of the skies. Also of course it didn't came before. Lucifer was fucking dead
Glad you recognize the beauty of this story, and really people were at times getting some wrong ideas about the Primals anyhow. I'm not an angel person, but I do love the Primal Pals. With that said, I love this event as well, because I like the Primal race.
@@MrOverTyrant The thing you gotta ask yourself though is: You got the Original Primal Beasts: the Primarchs, who watch over and help progress evolution. Then you got the Arbitrator. "Where does the Arbitrator fit in to all of this?". Even Lucifer goes onto say that Cosmos's job is similar to that of the Archangels except she's out here trying to keep the balance in check. So really, something like this isn't exactly out of nowhere at all. This was *bound* to happen. The role of Lucifer and the role of Cosmos, Zooey, and Geo, has almost the same levels of authority. Cosmos's is probably even higher.
@@segafan1316 Something that comes completely full circle here as well that I barely see anyone talking about is how Cosmos is trying to kill the Singularity. Because the Singularity is apparently a threat to the Balance. But there are *two of them.* Gran is one, but he isn't causing trouble at all. And Beelzebub is one, who actually was causing trouble. Cosmos told Lucifer that if her judgement is wrong, Lucifer has to step in and put an end to it. But then, gets killed by the very thing he had to look out for, the "Singularity".
I had the feeling they're testing the waters on this fight to see how much player still love the RoB OG's Maybe at 10th anniv they finally give an event concerning bahamut going haywire that involve many crewmember like wmtsb 1.
Hopefully the 10th anniversary event isn't the final event of the game. I know they said they have the 10th anniversary event already locked in but they were not sure about afterwards
SPOILER ALERT I mean, we pretty much know what happened to Bahamut; he split himself and the world into three pieces (The Surface Realm, The Sky Realm, and the Astral Realm) along with himself (Porto-Bahamut, Vyrn, and Lyria). I don't remember why, but I think there was a reason for it.
I'm quite happy about this event. It has that old spark from WMtSB 1&2. The eternals event was such a disappointment it set the bar that low- And as much as I enjoyed the moon men arc, the anniversary event was just missing something to make it really good. This- it gives much more lore and background compared to the eternals or the moon, and instead of a scene skip we actually got to see the Destruction side of bahamut (vyrn) discuss with Lucifer at length, rest that man's soul. It gives me that main story hype that we've been missing since they're spacing it out so damn much lately... Not even giving us consistent flbs lately, or Grand FLBs for that matter.
if you told me back in 2016 that we were going to be getting a primal focused event i would have laughed at you. back in those days primals were horrendously underutilized even though they were literally central aspects of the setting. glad that at least in the start, gran and lyria are taking a backseat so we can get proper worldbuilding.
@@ApexGale We still don't have the primarchs as characters either. On top of that, I still want Twin Elements since I miss them from RoB. Primals as characters were sparse too due to bahamut weapons being good back then iirc. When it came to stories, they were just kinda the blurb of the week, which flavor will inconvenience us this time around? I hope they keep this momentum again. I don't want another dry year when it comes to gbf content.
Now that we finally have the dark counter part (the light one being Helel ben Sahar), I think we're gonna have ULB Primarch weapons soon. With light and dark Halos (or maybe something else) for its ULB material that's farmable from new raids. And those raids are probably gonna be at level 250.
@@omega197 There's been a leak since around a week ago. It mentioned a character with [loincloth] [wings] and [3 weapons], it has no weapon accompanying it since it's obtained from the event. At first it was speculated to be Lucio's Helel ben Sahar form, but now that it's teased like this, it's possibly the unit in the battle preview.
@@andrawyawikrama5620 guess they'll nerf his stuff then. 2 luci team would be a good meme once in a while. does the leak had info on march legfest by the way?
Wouldn't that mean that Bahamut is technically just Fediel, Side-M? Also, Lucilius was a genius but as we learned in WMTSB3, everything he believed about the divine was completely wrong.
Man, eventhough cora, madl and baldr were boring design wise, this event managed to bring up fendrache without mentioning the dick knights at all. I'm confused now
@@segafan1316 I'm confused on how much I like the event... It sure is better than wmtsb, but probably a bit lacking compared to stay moon There's still the 3rd part I guess
@@Flamelance_Accendo They could've gone like "Years later the dragon knights was formed with this and that members and whatnot" after mentioning sylph's history regarding how fendrache became a country. A stretch yes, but considering how popular those knights are, it's unfortunately not surprising if cygames went that way. Luckily cygames didn't and settled with normal knights in sylph's story instead
