The way kazuichi hung out with teruteru in this and then transitioned into teruterus execution felt really tragic kazuichi canonically has trust issues, and I can only imagine the pain and emotional trauma that ensued from seeing one of the only people that he hung out with frequently and whom was one of his first friends on the island being executed in such a brutal and sad way. F for both of my favourite Goodbye despair bois, teruteru and kazuichi. Both way underrated, and didn't deserve what happened to them.
Rambling Time: SPOILERS FOR FREE TIME EVENTS AND THE ANIME!! I personally believe this song is about insecurities, and most importantly, expectations. Though I more or less see this with Hajime more, Kazuichi also works fairly well. In his free time events, you can see how he has trouble trusting others. Kazuichi is pretty jumpy, and not that confident in himself or in believing in others. Due to past events, he’s become adjusted to not believing/trusting others from experience. And what I mean by “ expectations “ doesn’t only apply from others giving them to you. You yourself give expectations. From there, insecurity starts forming from all the pressure. ( And likely from stress as well. ) Examples of masking it or trying to run away from it is something most of us, if not all of us, can relate to. We mask our troubles to not seem vulnerable, all the while trying to escape from those expectations and insecurities. So we change ourselves. Whether it be physically, mentally, or emotionally. We create our own facade to run away from reality. So what I’m trying to say is, it’s like trying to fit in to the crowd. In Kazuichi’s case, he worked hard, and tinkered with multiple things.( and isolated himself from others? ) Though, he later snapped and shut others out and dyed his hair. I’m guessing he wasn’t born with a life that people define as “ normal “ when he was growing up. His family was never rich, after all. So his hobbies were limited in a sense. With his environment around him also affecting him. It’s sort of similar to Hajime. He wanted to be talented, and he wasn’t rich like he then Reserve Course Students. He didn’t want to be one of the outcasts, he wanted to fit in and be admired. He worked hard, just to have insults thrown his way for his Reserve Course status. In a sense, he kind of also isolated himself until he met Chiaki. Then to learn that his existence was practically a miracle, he snapped as well. Later, becoming his own being. It’s just Hajime only learned his self-worth after a ton of life-changing events, literally. On the other hand, I really can’t say much about Kazuichi’s. Putting aside all the Miss Sonia stuff from Kazuichi, he’s just as complex as anything other character. Including Nagito. We all have our walls to block other people from getting inside with, so who knows, maybe there’s more to him than we know? I’m only speculating, but I find trying to analyze and create theories fun. Also a reminder to rewatch Kazuichi’s free time events to remember what happened just in case anything is off. Regardless, thanks for reading through my little ramble. If you have a theory, or an input on my comment, you can tell me. It’ll be interesting to hear everyone out. Now having all of that done with, happy late birthday Kazuichi Souda. Best of wishes to you. I also hope the person reading this has a nice day too. Edit: I touched up stuff here and there. The art here is incredible by the way, great job!
I dont understand any of the words but this is so rad!❤❤❤ I really love it. The soda appreciation is so cool. The skill is so amazing too! I really love the part where he curls up on the plate. Teru teru was so sad
@@rebeccachaer832 You should be able to find scans of it online, I think there is only 1 or 2 volumes iirc. I bought a copy a few years ago from Tokyo Otaku Mode, it's in JPN only atm though with no English release date announced.
as much as I dislike teruteru, I can't help but be so glad that he became friends with kazuichi within the game and series. with kazuichi's history of trust issues and bullying, it must've been such a relief to finally have someone to talk to who wouldn'y just make fun of him; and yeah the only similarities they had were that they were both perverts (teruteru being WAY worse then souda) it's nice to see that kazu can still bond and make friends.
In my eyes souda was a bit pervy yes! but he never took it to far to a point of harassment! Which is why I don’t get why some people in the fandom call him a creep. He’s not a creep he’s just a boy with a crush on a girl.
AAAAAAAAA IM GOING FERAL THIS IS SO AMAZING MT BOY I LOVE HIM OH MY GOD THE SCREWS AND SCREWSRIVER WITH THE PLATE AAAATHIS IS SO WELL DRAWN IM GOING INSANE I LOVE THIS SO M7CH
