1:50 God I love this part. That scene of Kokichi hiding his face with a mask, and slightly obscuring Kaito’s face with a cracked crying mask. Of course they were trying to show that you couldn’t tell who it was during their class trial, but there’s a little more to it then what meets the eye. It symbolizes how Kokichi was much more fully hidden to everyone as a person, and just how how happy he pretended to be. Smiling wide while just barely hiding his tears. Constantly playing the evil mastermind, constantly wearing a smiling mask, although in the end, he was trying to save everyone. Save everyone from the sadness of his own death by making everyone hate him from the bottom of their hearts. Hell- he used Gonta to make sure everyone else hated him. The tear on his mask might symbolize his face inside the mask. Kaito’s is probably a bit more sentimental. He’s damaged throughout the whole ordeal. He doesn’t want to do Kokichi’s plan, but if he doesn’t how else could he repay him for saving his life? Not to mention how torn he was after Shuichi exposed him. (Probably took this too far analytically sksksksk)
Kaito went thru with kokichis plan because kokichi saved his life, maki would be the blackened if he didn’t, and he knew he was going to die soon anyway.
stuff like this makes me feel so devastated and sad i can't believe how many friendships were ruined and all the despair and realization and it all makes me weep even if it's fiction. never in my life have i cried because of a death irl. danganronpa kinda broke me oop
0:59 Kokichi is hiding behind Shuichi its pretty adorable (Edit: didnt realize it got that much likes oh my god aleo thank you :'>) (Edit: it's been three years and now that i've seen what kind of mess i just caused i will just say why don't we just go on a mutual agreement he's hiding both ^^;;; i just wanted to point out how it's adorable my goodness...)
I like how it shows Kokichi for the line "Spitting out meaningless lies" and Kaito for "With too much vanity piling up." It fits xD And then the line "Our only successes gained through bravado" right after that.
2:51 Just imagine what happened if The Monokubs Left the characters the way they are and didn't gave the them their ultimate wardrobe and their first "memories". The whole Game was a whole different story. Edit: Btw, if there was mode like this in the game, It would be called *'Pregame Mode.'*
@@kibbenkat5159 Idk if they will have talents in pregame mode if there was a mode like this. I already imagined how class trials are gonna be and the final trial against the mastermind will be if the characters stayed the way they are.
Thomas Edison nah, they wouldn’t have talents at all. It would be so cute to see them all fanboy and fangirl over it all, and then realize how awful the situation really is. Then, when they want to escape, they learn that they can’t. Of course, this would only be more interesting if this was a side game mode unlocked after you completed the original game, where they had their talents. Of course, and none of the side game would be actually canon.
Actually I was thinking: what happens if two killers killed two different people on the same day? Before monokuma could make the announcements? Cuz from what I see Monokuma let two people die quite a few times
Danganronpa in a nutshell: based on the video Kayayday: lets kill the mastermind sushi! Sushi: Ok Rantaro: *exists* Kayayday: da ball goes rollin Rantaro: *oOf* *Rantaro is now a guacamole while Kayayday turned Kaedead* Sushi: I have crippling depression Ryoma: No I am Sushi: No I am Ryoma: ok then *OoF* Kirumeme: I only did my job so you're the only one who has crippling depression and now i shall run. *runs but got yeeted* Shingucci: I want mah sista have friends *closes Angie's eyes* Angie: ATUATUATUATUATUATUATUATUATUATU- *OOF* Tenko: Degenerate Ma- *Oof* Shingucci: Yay me Monokuma and Highmiko: Oh no u don't Shingucci: *got boiled and yeeted by his sista* Mew: Let's play vr but with extra high tech assault. Key bow: *dEStroY* Weeb: *oof* Sushi, McMaki and Highmiko: *survives* *tHE eNd*
Everyone gangsta until they realize kokichi was actually good Himiko: why tho maki: oh shit so I basically “killed” him 4 no reason kaito: oh I’m sorry shuichi: shit my protagonist powers didn’t work on kokichi kaede: I knew it >:) gonta: is ok tsumugi: wtf ok kiibo: god ok yay party time Miu: fūck you
@@partypoison.606 I mean sure but what other options did kokichi have? Miu would've killed him, and just like he said, he would've stopped her if he could :D
@@osmanthuswine4928 Kokichi’s mistake was that he needed to openly trust someone and tell them about his plans. Instead, he pushed everyone away and created the mastermind plan, which would only have worked if he didn’t trust someone last minute to make a last minute plan. He only caused emotional trauma to a lot of people during the class trials, which was not the right way to present yourself as a mastermind. People said he trusted Shuichi, but remember, protagonist powers.
Ever realize on how the culprits and the victims killed by the culprits are on the same side? But Kaede and Rantaro wasn't, meaning Kaede was framed and Rantaro wasn't killed by her.
then in the end he started to doubt hope. he fell into despair but luckily with the help of Kiibo, he was hopeful once again. i really liked when they showed the pov’s of all the character in the end expect Tsumugi.
honestly shuichi’s character arc was the best (2nd is komaru). his growth was absolutely astonishing ; he went from terrified to look ppl in the eye and scared to reveal the truth to, personally i think, one of the most brave people in the whole franchise. he’s honestly the best protagonist in the game in my opinion.
For me V3 has the best character development and they likely more focused on their backstory and situation which gave them impactful tears to the audience who watched or played the game The last 2 games for me gave impact on some characters but not that much 1 gave gameplay, the character development tho is a bit unbalanced which gave other characters a bit of opportunity to have a story. The End however gave so much impact, which makes the game the best original visual novel plot twist 2 gave more on character designs which make them interesting for everyone and the devs gave them so much character development in them which led to the end trials have impactful goodbyes, painful yet lovable characters to enjoy and of course the end plot twist which is better than 1 and connects the story to it V3 as I said character development sky rocketed to be more impactful, story wise is amazing and plot twist are so much “WHHHAAATT?!” moments, the ending however is the most 4th wall breaking that i’ve ever seen, giving the audience understandable and confused moments and it kinda gave best ending or bad ending comments that impacted them, but for me they took it to another level and tries to connect the audience to the devs themselves that they are thankful for their supporters which is sooo heartwarming I wish Spike Chunsoft will still continue the saga Lets “HOPE” for it They still have the chance of giving the audience a “FUTURE” to wait for the next one Is it a “LIE”? maybe.....but I want it to be the “TRUTH” :3 also great animation ^^ I LOVE IT
After seeing the word truth, lie and hope and future I feel like slamming my head on a table :D But yes, you're right. Honestly, I don't want another danganronpa 4, but rather to know what happened. I'm just hoping for a small anime where we can see the remaining characters live their happily ever after, because after all, after everything, I long to see everything finally truly end with my own eyes.
