Hey Numa, you may already use it but, another good method for adding low end would be to copy your sample chops to a different bank and put a low pass filter on them. This way it is isolating the lower frequency on those copies. Then you can link the pads from the main chops to the copied filtered chops so they play layered at the same time. This adds thickness to your main melody. Also another thing that I think is under utilized is 16 levels velocity but on the kick drum. People always use it for the hi-hats but in reality when I play the real acoustic drums my kicks are not always identical and 16 levels helps with that too. This way you can also play accents on the kick. The pads on the 2k (or any MPC) are velocity sensitive but I find that I rather keep them on full level and play accents with the 16 levels if needed.
