Disappointed how no one is talking about some original scenes 1. The most obvious one being Cu fighting off Robin 2. Being the princess carry 3. Hakuno falling off the stadium/arena
This gives me hope that it will not be a 1:1 adaptation because honestly Vanilla Extra's plot was not that interesting in the middle portion of the story.
we never seen those scenes in the original game before so it's possible that there more ways to out a master and servant without breaking the Moon's rules and that member each round there is a group of masters fighting

Although...Robin Hood does use his Poison NP on Hakuno in the original game (Looks up the scene for a Robin Hood quote to use) Robin: "why wait until the elimination battle to take them out? If they drop out now, it'll be an easy victory for us." Dan: "Who gave you the command to do such a deed?" So Robin Hood going against Dan's orders to fight Cu, outside of the main battle round, is in character for him. And Cu is probably retaliating against Robin Hood for attacking him. Robin Hood might have tried to take Cu out early, but it failed and is now clearly being overpowered by Cu in the revealed clips. I personally think its a variation on a scene from the manga where Drake and Cu are about to fight, before Kirei steps in and explains that they can't fight in the school area. (In the original, Kirei just shows up in front of Hakuno and explains the rules of fighting) Either that or this is happening during the preliminaries (when Hakuno finally summons their servant). In the manga, Cu and Vlad go at it during this time.
It's looking so good! Hope some of the original jazzier soundtrack still is around or atleast remixed. Would be really nostalgic to hear some of those tracks come back
Funny enough I got into it with it's sequel Fate/Extella (I know I'm alone in this but I love Warriors/Musou style games so it was the best way to sell me on the franchise).
Fate/Extra Record looks to so good! The voice acting is stellar as always! The colors and animations look awesome! I really can't wait to play this. I know it's gonna be an amazing experience! ^^
@@garrykaspari2588 imma be honest i never really struggled with the rock paper scissors once you learned the enemy patterns they became so one note especially since they had that 1 combo they LOVED as a opener(or you just spammed skills after all it was really rock-paper-scissors-GUN) the only boss i struggled with was really MONSTER and id expect no less from a super-boss
@@caellanmurphy4751 Well, duh. Everyone's like that, including me. But the learning process is so tedious and has too much luck in play. It's not fun at all, even when you maxed out all enemy analysis.
@@garrykaspari2588 i mean im guilty of just...skillspamming what i dont know. though ill be honest i started with archer since he was technical also i didnt really grind as much as i coudve the game always kinda tells you the Reccomended lvl to be at and until late game you just kinda overlevel the stuff before it equals it out and then you have to grind a tad for endgame but nothing to obnoxious honestly i kinda hope the enemies are less predictable(once youve seen one gator bite in extra you pretty much know how all gator bites and their line operate)
Extra is really good but CCC is leagues better. I severely doubt they will ever remake that one however with how ashamed TypeMoon is of its "ero" past.
@@gilroyscopa The ero parts won't be a problem, since they removed them from Tsukihime Remake and stay night Realta Nua. For the important parts, they can keep them implicite, like in Heaven's Feel movie
Just remembered how much of this game was discovering just who the enemy opponents were. And now, due to FGO, we know who everyone is. Except the final boss everyone is now in FGO.
Is this like a remaster of the Fate/Extra game? As someone who has never played FGO, I think I'll get a kick out of the mystery even though I know a few of the Servants
@@Pedro-ix8kd While Final Boss Twice is in a CE (5* A Fragment if 2030) his servant isn’t in the game. And it was more Twice’s servant I was referring to because that’s who you actually fight. Even the class name is a spoiler.
@@vaniluu4784 It appears to be a remake but I don’t know much. It was announced 2-ish years ago and I haven’t heard much from the western Fate fan base about it. (Then again I’m not sure if they know the Fate Cooking game is out on Switch...) If you haven’t played FGO you won’t know who almost anyone is. And that’s fine! You’ll have a lot of fun trying to figure out who everyone is due to their legends. I still remember figuring out who the Green Archer is before the game actually tells you due to knowing an obscure fact about the legend.
I had no idea this was even happening until like a week ago. Excited af, looks super good. (Now I just hope they didn’t mess up any dialogue or story elements)

It looks amazing! Everything looks really good. The wait to the release starts to become difficult but as long as the Studio is doing good and the dev is going aight then that is all that matters. Also 1:36 new wallpaper found you. UMU 🌹
Umu! Seeing and hearing her NP like that really got me hyped up for it. I also think that the devs should take their time to make it good. It's nice that they gave us that trailer so we know they are making progress :3
seem really good I was afraid that it would be satisfied with a stupid remake with better graphics without touching anything but with these cutscenes it seems to change things and it looks really good I can't wait to see what that is will give
I'm not lying. There is a tear in my eye. I'm longing to be able to play this game, to experience this game for myself instead of through a wiki article or a Let's Play. You glorious Mad Lads and Lasses of Type Moon, I await the Localization with bated breath, and a longing for the original Japanese voice cast, a cast of Legends, to be an option in the settings menu.

I'm so excited for this. The Extra series has always been a personal favorite of mine and I cannot wait to see this finally come out and experience Fate/Extra once again! And I love that they basically only used Hakunon as the protagonist character in this. I like both, but Hakunon is so much cuter.
Kind of late finding this and therefore responding but I wouldn't be surprised if they still had Male!Hakuno as selectable option. Hakunon (who was technically the canon Hakuno according to Last Encore to in a way) got preferential treatment in the CCC trailers too after all. Still yeah its great to see her getting more of the spotlight with the way Nasu kept sidelining her in favor of the male version. Especially since she's the one I played but also generic otome game protag design is still several steps up from generic bishoujo game protag design.
for me, i really want to play this game as soon as possible. since i never knew about the Original Fate/Extra game and PSP and can't get those two, i really want to play this game very much
So excited! Looks like the improvement of graphics will open up some more wandering around opportunities, as well as some new parts of the story that probably couldn't be done in the original.
@@deathbykonami5487 unfortunately not that far, but I did hear that the rock-paper-scissors gameplay will be removed and the direct mana transfer scene will involve Hakuno participation proper.
I think they will add or change a bit in story in trailer i see green archers vs lancer(maybe on the rooftop) that never happened in original game or manga
