I'm an old American, and I well remember the China of the 20th century, but I think that over the past several years, some of the world's best music has been coming out of China and Asia. I rarely listen to Western music anymore - I find the music of Asia fascinating. Having English lyrics makes it even more meaningful. 👍
Great to hear your perspective! I think this song is really interesting in particular because it's a 2018 reality show covering a song from 2007, linking together the 21st-century era of C-pop.
