Great video! I'm so glad that I found this channel on RU-vid. I'm a piano performance major student in U.S. and also really love this type of Chinese traditional music.
Art is not science and it deals with the body and soul which evolve pretty slow. Old Chinese is so good at please the body and soul. They have food, music, and literature, which cannot be surpassed in the foreseeable future by any other culture. Enjoy it.
It makes me wonder how much fun you could have with a barrel slide on such an instrument, as in tone it's very reminiscent of certain American "western" sounds.
Thank you for existing and playing such lovely music. If your music is like a salve to the heart and mind, I need it to play 36 hours every day.... Do you follow?
Some day a sensible woman with a good heart will pull me out of this pain. She might be rich. The money won't be a matter. If she knows me or about me already, she already knows that. I might be rich. If that's the case, it will be harder to tell which woman she is, as many will act the part but lack the heart. Until then, I'm fortunate to have moments with some of my family but they might know the difference in me easily....
@@lancearmor3199 Don't be sad. I think the result of the love story was tragic but the process was touching and beautiful. It is more like the feeling of Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On. The process is important, rather than the result, right?
@@lancearmor3199 I found the translated lyrics for you: > one is an immortal flower of fairyland, the other fair flawless jade, and were it not predestined, why should they meet again in this existence? yet, if predestined, why does their love come to nothing? one sighs to no purpose, the other yearns in vain; one is the moon reflected in the water, the other but a flower in the mirror。 how many tears can well from her eyes? can they flow on from autumn till winter, from spring till summer?
This is a song from a TV series based on Chinese classical novel "Dream of Red Chamber", if you know the story, you'll easily feel the emotion. you can google or check Wikipedia for a brief description.
