I humbly thank you for inspiring me to pursue music and becoming a composer myself, and for this song specifically for bringing me and my best friend together with our shared love of this wonderful track. Your style and performances hold a very special place in my heart, and it is a great honor to see one of my musical muses perform. Thank you for all of the wonderful music, Yamane-san.
Michiru Yamane, I just wanted to say how inspiring you are, and you must have heard this from people hundreds of times, if not thousands. I listen to your compositions for Castlevania (since you've composed a complete arsenal of beautiful poetry in musical notes for Castlevania) throughout the day, from studying to relaxing. You have not only created songs that let imagination take flight, but inspired people to listen and play it, such as me, who has started to pay more attention to the musical instruments i have here at home. Thanks for being a musical genius. While playing the games, we enter in a world of coding, battles, story and complexity of Castlevania, but outside the game we have the memories of our time playing it, and we have Ayami Kojima's art being it's body and your music being it's soul. You are an icon and a remarkable woman of great creativity. I thank you once again, Michiru Yamane. Greetings from Brazil. Adorable cats, by the way, i love cats too ❤
Thank you very much for your wonderful message. Your writing is full of warmth and kindness. I am very honored. I'm glad that you enjoy my music as well as the game. I'm glad you've been listening to my music for a long time.
A fun fact about this piece is that it's written in three different time signatures: 7/8, 6/8, and 5/8. Two of these (7/8 and 5/8) are fairly unusual, and can be hard to work with, given their metrical irregularity. The Dawn of Sorrow OST featured an arranged version by Ms. Yamane in 4/4 time. Thank you for performing it with the original time signatures! I think that this gives your composition more life.
This was one of my absolute favorites from Dawn of Sorrow and it makes me so incredibly happy beyond words to see Yamane-san performing her pieces in 2024. Never stop.
This is so awesome, you together with Yōko Kanno are my favorite female composers. Dawn of Sorrow has one of the best OST from all castlevania games. Would love to hear Pitch Black Intrusion as well 😊😊
Mrs. Yamane you are one of the greatest composers in videogame history, words can't how amazing and and versatile your compositions have been through the years.
Hi Mrs Yamane I am a fan from Thailand. 🇹🇭 I really like your work. All of your songs are an inspiration for life. And I want to hear you play "dracula's tears" (castlevania dawn of sorrow) 🥰 Thank You Blessing You 🥰
Wonderful playing! Michiru sensei, as a fellow musician I would like to say that your work has been truly inspiring to me. Ever since I first played Symphony Of The Night as a child I've loved this series as well as your work. Thank you for doing what you do. I believe the middle section of this was improvised? Please forgive me if I'm wrong. There's some truly beautiful lines that I found quite moving, and if it was truly improvised that just speaks to your skill as a musician. It's an honour to watch a master at work. Thank you for uploading here on RU-vid for us all to hear.
This variation just gives me nostalgia towards the DS Era of Castlevania! Sounds very uplifting with a mixture of relief and despair! Dawn of Sorrow has been my absolute #1 favourite(while my other two favourites are Harmony of Dissonance GBA and Bloodlines Genesis)
Thank you so much for all your fantastic and unforgettable music. The music from all MSX games is still in my head. Of course I also love your recent music. 💛🙏
